    Just bought it at a shop in Osaka. The quality and touch and feel is incredible!

    When the aliens finally reveal themselves, all of their tech will be shocking to us except for their toolbox tours thanks to Nepros 😁.

      Haha, I could see them appreciating the quality!

    I really do like it when the nicer tools I order have special packaging. The first pair of Malco Eagle Grips I bought came in a box which gave it a real 40's-60's feel when opening them. In the woodworking space Bridge City Tool Works packaging is outstanding. Are the tools over prices...eh, probably but it really does feel like an event opening them.
    Those Nepros screwdrivers are awesome but, honestly they are almost too nice to use. Still I hope to add to that set and try some more of their other stuff....especially if they bring back that Blue Ion finish. And one of those Nepros tool chests(amongst many others) is definitely on my "Won the lottery, now I can have ALL the tools!" list.
    The Milwaukee sockets have served me well. Granted, I don't use them constantly, but the main point for me was that they don't roll away. Prior to them I had probably spent as much time chasing after run away sockets as I had actually using them given the weird places I would need them.
    As to the sale stuff, honestly I don't want to watch you go over Snap On or Harbor Freight flyers, but when you run across a phenomenal deal (like those Wiha ratcheting wrenches) it's awesome that you share.

      Thanks for the feedback. Sometimes my biggest issue with sales is not having time to cover them when they are pertinent. I'll have to check out Bridge City. I think my Eagle Grips all came loose. Yeah, I sort of think the neXT tool chests have expandable options and layouts, but there isn't great info on it...at least in English. They do cycle special finishes, most recent was gold...so they could potentially have something up your alley at some point. Glad to hear the Milwaukee's solved the roll away issue...I think the neXT (if they are produced) would do the same, but I'm also pretty confident they would cost a bit more, lol. Definitely pick up a Nepros ratchet at some point...the finish is second to none.

    Love the skeletonized handle! And you raised a great and practical point about lanyard/tethering possibilities. And I remember when you first premiered the blue ion ratchet - Well, I am still blown away by it. A true stunner. 👍

      Glad you like it! It is kind of a love it, or hate it thing, but I feel like it resonates very well with those of us who genuinely like it. It is hard to believe that was a few years ago, but that is still the best looking ratchet I've ever seen...personal preference color wise, but it is just incredibly unique!

    Do you have an update on how this ratchet with cut outs feels in the bare hand in use now?

  • @marko11kram
    @marko11kram 9 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

    I think it's a cool ratchet to have. IDK if those cutouts are not there more for the 'coolness; factor than truly intended as functional. That cork tray is a unique presentation, as is the finush.

    • @lonestarmopars
      @lonestarmopars  9 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Yeah, the cork tray is almost as much of a surprise as the ratchet...I've never seen anyone do that and it makes sense when you think about it. It is a shame they don't have more info out on it, but I think the goal was minimizing weight while maintaining strength...coupled of course with killer looks. If they ever go on sale, it would be great to just have. Performance should be great ratchet wise!

      If you keep tabs with DRPD you can buy one on a sale, and from time-to-time the ratchets themselves seem to be on sale. Their standard ratchets are more affordable than the tool trucks and imo, offer up perhaps the best finish out of anything on the market. It'll definitely be worth it!

    Nice ratchet but the short length would take it off the everyday all around use scenario.The Koken is much better suited for that.Short ratchets are for the easy to get wide open low torque stuff..

    • @lonestarmopars
      @lonestarmopars  9 หลายเดือนก่อน

      The 180mm/7" is still pretty standard for a default length despite a good chunk of the working class leaning towards longer versions. That actually brings up a good point...I'd love to see this in an 11-12" form factor...the weight saving would be even more considerable. As of now, all my Nepros stuff is of the 7" variety...I've considered adding a longer flex head...maybe they will run with this design and I can pull the trigger there. I want to say there longer ratchets are closer to 13" fwiw...would be pretty cool to see!

    It is gorgeous. The outline of the handle kinda looks like an old coke bottle.

    Those cutouts look expensive.

    • @lonestarmopars
      @lonestarmopars  9 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Definitely big enough for a Qtip, lol. The handle is a bit wider, but I honestly think some people will find that more comfortable than a slightly narrower rounded profile. Comes down to each individual, but it feels surprisingly good in hand.

    I bet its aimed at bicycle race mechanics, or anyone who has to jet around the world with a tool box.

      Also for people building motorcycle tool kits. they want light tools to carry on the bike with them.
