I have TH-cam music and a garmin watch. BUT MY 745 IS NOT COMPATIBLE. Waaa! I want TH-cam music!
I am so glad they have finally done this! Immediately went for a 10k run today after downloading the app (and getting my new running shoes 😁) and it worked as advertised.
I did notice however that the app was buggy a few times before and after the run. Like once before the run, whenever I would go select the TH-cam music app in music controls, it would just not load up, and then once a 'Media error occured' message popped up. Hopefully they can sort these out over time.
Tip - for the setup, be sure to have notifications enabled for the Garmin Connect App on your phone. This is required for the pop-up notification that is sent from the phone for the registration.

You can just stay on the Garmin connect app (not iq) and press the send button and it should pop up
The instructions worked as they are very clear, remember to press the setup button on watch to start this process

I just cancelled Spotify for this, and so far so good. The only issue that I see so far is that Google, for some reason, has decided to limit song count in each playlist to only 300 songs. Why? I have no clue.
No matter what I try I cannot get past the 1:03 mark. Despite my watch (vivoactive 5) being compatible and installing the app, it does not flag to "set up" and does not flag on the phone app either.
TH-cam music is the best for me!

Still between 265 and Coros pace 3. I use my watch for music, but I can just bring my phone in my belt with the Coros pace 3.

Does this tend to kill the battery like Spotify does on the watch?
I've never used Spotify, but I noticed my battery has been draining faster the last few days.
The only thing missing in this tutorial is to make sure you are currently up to date on your watch's software because if not you will not be able to push any installation of any app to the watch.

Hey! I have a Garmin Venu 3 and downloaded the YT Music app. I have a premium account and I am also logged into that account on my watch. But when I go to my download tracks I only see the sync screen for maybe 1sec and than it says ''Sync successfull''... but it didn't download anything😅 Any idea as to why that is?
The use case I have, using my phone to play the music but then using TH-cam music on my watch navigate the phone options, there is a limited Fwd and backwards feature and volume, but I really want to use the TH-cam app on my watch to select a podcast or playlist and change it from the watch but still have it being played from the phone to my Bluetooth speaker on my road bike. Also this would allow me to have the songs downloaded to my phone but I don't have to also download them to my watch. I suspect this use case is not implemented though and I would just have to ignore that the phone exists and just do the Bluetooth directly to the watch and download all the songs to the watch but I'd really rather it be a rich controller interface
[for podcasts] Can you skip forward, or is it just backwards? Or is it possible to do so using the buttons on the ones Bluetooth earphones; whiles using the Garmin-YT music app?
Kind of a dealbreaker if not
You can skip forward 30 seconds easily. You CANNOT skip to the next podcast - it REALLY SUCKS. You can't download a playlist with episodes, so when you get to the end of a podcast, it just stops playing. PlayRun autodownloads the latest 3 episodes of your selected podcasts (you have to hit sync on the watch) and will jump to the next episode/podcast. You can also sync a playlist too. The only issue I have with playrun is that you can't listen at increased speeds. I prefer podcasts at 1.1x or 1.2x

Hello, how do I desable the background voice in garmin 965 while running, this voice interrupting what you hear is very unpleasant...

FR 165 not listed
Des, some are saying the FR 165 now can use the TH-cam Music app. Can you, or someone else confirm this. The App page does now show 165, but who is actually using it now on the FR 165.

Hi @desfit I'm wondering if there's a way for me to switch TH-cam Music accounts on my Garmin Epix Pro Gen 2? I've been looking online and haven't found an answer. My other YT account has all my music but uses the same Google account. Can you help me with this?

That is great :)!! But why is the watch reacting so slowly to all inputs? Is this normal with garmin watches? If yes, I will definitely not change from Samsung to Garmin. The handling hast to be fast and fluid.
Garmin watches certainly won't be as snappy as a Samsung, and the music apps are especially laggy in my experience. On the flip side, you get massively better battery life on a Garmin.

I don't care so much about battery life, because when I go to the shower every day I put my watch on the wireless charger and that is usually enough.
@@lm87654 thanks! that is really a big downside for me. I don't care that much about the battery life. I put my Samsung watch on the charger while showering and this is enough for the battery to never get empty.
The app is really bad at the moment. Just seems to randomly display random Playlist, can't even view my actual library, can't even see exactly what I'm downloading to my watch. Can't view by artist, can't view by track, not by album. I can't remove what's displayed, I can't choose what's displayed. Why even bring the app in such a bad state.
Why don’t they use Apple Music?!?
I'd wager to guess that's more Apple's decision than Garmin's

Hey! I have the Garmin Venu 3 and recently downloaded the YT Music app onto the watch. I logged onto the app with my Premium YT account. But when I go to download my songs it only shows the Syncing screen for maybe a second. After that it says "Sync successful'' but it didn't do anything😅Any idea as to why that might be?
