- "Live" report at Global Sources Consumer Electronics Show 14th April 2024!
Today we start off with a mission to meet our key factories to discuss purchase and strategic growth plans. We also meet up with the rest of the factories at Global Sources. The trend now are factories spinning off new local brands and invest in marketing and R&D to match international brands.
The Global Sources Sources covered are into cameras and accessories, Drones, outdoor products, personal mobility devices and in-vehicle security and surveillance.
Outdoor products see a wide range of solar power energy devices. The market trends leads towards home-based energy sustainability. Another trend is into electric vehicle pumps. With the surge in electric car volumes manufacturers are hopping into this bandwagon.
There's not much change in the personal transport category with offerings like e-bikes. We recommend the factories to start researching in portable pmds that can be folded and stored under office tables. This will be big market. Another good product we saw was AI hologram humanoid companion. In sync with the current interest in Gen AI this will be one of the hottest products this year.
After Global Sources we move to HKTDC Hong Kong Electronic Fair where we met up with factories in the health and massage category. There are trends into health rings, air-pressure sports recuperation devices and massage chairs.
Overall a pretty busy day.
