@@BashiWAFishing Definitely the seals there spooked the salmon too much, awesome video and thank you! I also heard people there use small spoons are spinners size 1-2 and get hooked up pretty often, also drifting a little bit more up river is more shallow with eggs or a corkie.
@@kkkkk12122323232 A lot of people were using small spoons, I use big ones since I don't want those 1lb fish, lol; Cured salmon egg should be the best bait for them right now
Nice video! I fished the Duwamish the past two days and got skunked both days. I was using blue fox spinners. Saw a guy across the bank limit within 30 min using spinners. I tried to use his technique and no luck. Any help or advice you could provide? Thank you!
I think there is a high speed freeway for salmon along the river, most salmon just follow this path. If cross bank guys are getting them consistently, then that path is over there. This path might change if the current direction changes.
So happy you got big fish, and the opportunity to buy a new rod!
I really love that rod, followed me for many years
It must feel so satisfying to see the results of your labor.
thanks my friend
I cant believe you were there, I've been fishing there the entire week but usually around mid day not catching anything and here you release a video!!
I feel like bites were good as long as seals were not there. I lost a few fish because I was using barbless hook

I might go there one more time with smaller spinners

Thanks my friend
Nice fish!
Thanks brother Yong
That rod caught so many fishes and It’s time to get a new rod my man! Nice catch 👍🏻🎣
Thanks my friend, that rod fought beside me for over 8 years, I am a bit sad.
NICE FISH 🐟
Thanks my friend
You don't need a barbless hook. We were catching them on herring last week.
Thanks brother, I didn't know about that. You were using herring in the river?
@@BashiWAFishingyes. It's brackish water. Fresh/salt mix. They still hit bait. We were also using diving plugs.
@@duckwacker8720 Got it, thanks brother for the great information

Anytime my friend
You can use barbed hooks on duwamish/green
Thanks my friend, I didn't know that, lose a few fish due to barbless hook...
I looked it up to confirm, the Duwamish/Green is NOT a selective gear river...
@@TomEwing-n7y Yes, which means you can use barbed hook
@@BashiWAFishing
When does the coho season at green river end?
The river will open until December, but you won't be able to see a lot of coho anymore in 3 weeks
Was that a wild or hatchery?
correct
A coho for a rod! I tried my luck in this area last week, nothing happened.
That rod fought by my side through the last 8 years, I was a bit sad; I got a few bites, but only landed one because I was using barbless hook.
What other rivers can be fished for coho in the greater Seattle area?
snohomish and puyallup river
Snohomish river will open in a few days
@@BashiWAFishing thank you!
Anytime
I noticed the link to the rod says that it is for 12lb line. But you said you use 20lb mono. Is this okay to use?
Just don't lift big fish like what I did, it should be good.
can you give me the coordinates to find the location please?
Green river should be full of coho at this point
green RIVER ?
yes, green river
Chum salmon is running in the green river right now

Be careful and stay away from the power line.
Thanks for the reminder, it's actually quite far away
They're way too high
@@duckwacker8720 Yes, I would be surprise if someone hit the power line.
Don't stick your hand in their mouth, full of teeth
Thanks my friend, this salmon already took the revenge and left a mark on my fingers
