hello there! Like to introduce you guys to one of if not the greatest metal guitarists ever spawned..Jake e. lee was ozzy's guitarist from 1982-1987 before fronting his band badlands. here's a taste of a solo during the 1984 Bark at the moon tour... As you'll see, he's kinda okay on guitar!

Randy made me pick up the guitar as a kid, Jake made me actually sit and try to learn to play guitar as a kid, still does...But I think his solo on the Ultimate sin tour was better.

@@Drew_Guitaristabsolutely horrible dog water scraping the bottom of the piss barrel-level production for an album, BUT, the actual musicianship and guitar playing on the album is probably one of Ozzy’s greatest ever. Just sounds like dog water is all.
Ozzy always works with the best musicians👍

That first Badlands album is so good
My opinion only Jake E Lee was one of the best along side Eddie. Jake would never use a whammy bar he just bent the neck and body of the guitar
My opinion too. His playing and just his overall life story has a certain divinity and mystery to it, like he’s a ghost. He melted faces with Ozzy, and kept innovating all the way through the early 90s, then he vanished like a ghost, only to reappear out of nowhere. He went through hell but to this day he still remains true to the music, not the money. And he’s hilarious.
I remember seeing him at the Lakeland civic center in Florida and when the concert started people were screaming Randy!! Randy!!! Before he finished his solo, the crowd was all in with Jake!!! Check out Badlands!!!
Watch #3: (the first two will be on Foghat vids from 8 days ago)..... Pop quiz: What made Jake E. Lee stand out from other 80's six-string-slingers?? Answer: he **never** played guitars with "whammy bars".... No tremolos for this virtuoso; he thought they were 'gimmicky' and were a 'crutch' that other guitarists used to mask their lack of proficiency... Hence his massive "bag of tricks" that he pulled from to create his masterpieces.... Keep on keepin' on, and as always, Blessed Be, & Peace! 🙏☮
Way beyond randy rhodes
That’s a ridiculous statement. Jake is great but get real. Every song on ozzys first 2 albums were amazing and Randy had a hand in writing. No one can play those solos like Randy. 2 completely different players as well.
@@chasemartin5373 i agree with that.....Jake Lee is Super great, l love his solo, performance....but ozzy's best songs, best guitar solos are mostly from Randy.....no one can replace him....anyway Jake lee did great job after Randy has gone ~.

@Apocalypse2031I am aware he was planning on leaving the band. Not sure how that has anything to do with what we are talking about. Also, it’s an opinion, it literally can’t be wrong or right. I will say that there is a reason that Randy is looked at as one of the best rock/ metal players ever and hardly anyone knows who Jake E Lee is.

Brad Gillis was no slouch. He did a fantastic job on the Speak of the Devil tour. I saw that tour when Vandenburg opened up for him. They were one hell of an opening band. Adrian Vandenburg was a damn good guitarist in his own right.
