The colosseum in Rome was impressive because it is over 1900 years old and it has lots of history and Hollywood made a great movie (Gladiator). Although I’ve been to Cancun almost half a dozen times and always plan to visit chichen itza, I still have not the chance to go but I really enjoyed this video and it makes me want to try to go next time I’m in the Yucatán region.🌎🇲🇽👍 Saludos 😄

Either take a ADO bus straight to Valladolid, and then get another bus to Chichen-Itza or get one of the second class buses from Playa del Carmen to Chichen-Itza; which usually stops at Valladolid but the route travel time can be longer due to the stops, but if you want to same a couple of bucks this can be the option 🙏🤩

Would you say it's safe for a couple to go to chichen itza by a rental car without a Tour guide? We'll stay in playa del carmen and would have to drive 2.5 hours by car.

It is Ok not having a tour guide, but if you want to have a deeper knowledge of the archeological zone; is recommended to hire one at the main entrance.
