Of course I think about it I think about it all the time Things cross your mind, you can't help it What you said, what I said What you did, what I did But it's all in the past now, what's the difference You can't change it I will never be the same I will never change It will be a long time When I think about it now, I know you were right There were too many secrets to keep Too many obstacles to overcome And all that talk just made me tired When I think about it now When I think about you I know you were right You will never be the same you will never change It will be a long time I like the graveyard shift It's quiet, I can read all night I don't mind wearing a uniform I don't mind walking in the dark You make your rounds, you check all the locks And when the sun rises, when everyone is getting up You punch out and go home It will never be the same it will never change It will be a long time
The similarities between The Minutemen and Nomeansno are purely coincidental. They both originated at the same time never even hearing each other. This is coming from the mouths of Rob Wright and Mike Watt themselves. Watt took the bass in almost a John Entwistle approach and Rob Wright was originally a guitarist who switched to bass to compliment his brothers drumming. He felt like the guitar would lack the power of a bass and the overdriven P bass would still have a guitar like sound.
if you can find any, i also recommend a band called Removal. they are very similar... also look for Hanson Brothers. make sure you search with the word brothers. side project of nomeansno.
When a band are underated they retain their edge. When a band are played to death they become dull and repetetive. Thank goodness great bands go un-noticed!
Hey again bro! Excuse the delay. Well, judging from your username, I'm thinking that it's the beautiful bass playing of Nomeansno that first drew you in. After finding out about Nomeansno, I soon learned that their music, & especially their bass-playing, is rather heavily influenced by Mike Watt (I'm sure you've heard of him) and the Minutemen. You should check out the Minutemen if you haven't already.
Their full albums (the Minutemen's) are all available here on TH-cam, but you should check out their earlier work as Nomeansno tends to emulate their earlier sound. One pick in particular--the EP 'Joy.' If you'd like any other suggestions, just let me know. Thanks again for listening. Nomeansno are truly underrated.

I think about it all the time
Things cross your mind, you can't help it
What you said, what I said

But it's all in the past now, what's the difference

Underrated? Unnoticed? Surely you jest... Very nomeansno to apply your insecurities to nomeansno though.
