Funny even Grant jumped back when the mouse came out of hiding. Voice over was a good idea, better than trying to talk over the wind. Learned more about up keep on the Pivot.
Guess there was enough room in there for it to expand without doing damage. Or that it's just melted snow so it wasn't in there when it was freezing temperatures.

That wind would be very annoying indeed. Blowing dirt right into one's eyes and face and knocking the ball cap off of one's head and having to chase it across the field.
If you put a grease line in ,from the top of the pivot machine down to were you can reach them you won’t have to climb it , , makes your job so much safer and quicker to get the job done , just an idea 💡 because hay who wants to fall a break a bone that puts ya outa work for months at a time 😉 all my machine’s I put them in and it’s easy to do and don’t cost much for the grease line, hospital bed can cost you thousands , safety first 👍
More day brightening girlish smiles and laughs from the ever cheerful adorable Miss Laura! :-) Don't ever stop doing those! Grant is your knight protecting you from those mean ole mice! That much water in the gearbox means that top cover is loose or the gasket is bad! I could see where the oily dirt was all over it showing the leak. I'd lay in a good supply of those cover gaskets or at least seal them with some Permatex RTV. Water will just get right back in again otherwise and ruin the gearbox.
I have a sister that has mice as pets. You might be the only farmer in the world scared of mice :) For me, it is spiders. Mice and spiders are just everywhere. And caffeine - UGH! I take a few sips of tea anymore and start getting heart palpitations. No idea why. I drank tea most of my life.
Mice are mostly just little harmless critters, if you would just catch one, hold in your hand, and look at it closely you would discover there actually kind of cute. 😄 P.S. Grant maybe you sould catch one and put it in her lunchbox sometime, afterall they say the best way to overcome fear is to run straight at it. 😁
I dunno. I used to catch them in the grain bins when I was a kid - pick them up by the tail and they'd always climb up their tail and bite me on the finger. After "dettol-ing" my finger a couple of times (to avoid infections), I figured out to wear a glove on the hand doing the picking-up.
Something I've always wanted to know. How do those big thing watering devices move around? Do they get pulled by a tractor around their pivot point? Is it water pressure? Is there a small engine?

I am amazed with that much water in the gear Box that it did not freeze in bust the gearbox
Guess there was enough room in there for it to expand without doing damage. Or that it's just melted snow so it wasn't in there when it was freezing temperatures.
Needs a new cover gasket or permatex or else it will fill up with water again.
