He is a batting institution himself. Can bowl off spin, leg spin, medium pace with effective swing. Very safe fielder. A complete champion India has ever produced. And still few fools say that he played for himself.
He has not dropped too many. I only remember one or two occasions in his entire career. Safest hand in Indian Cricket due to his focus and determination

Why take that 1 or 2 catches. You can claim they were also caught. No one in the world dares to challenge anything written on Tendulkar. So you can add few more catches to his account, that other fielders took. No harm. Because, No one will question you.
You can even say he hit 200 six in an over.

Actually I think these drops were from his own bowling. I don’t remember him ever dropping a dolly. I’ve seen him drop one off his own bowling. It’s a genuine question, I’ve been searching on quoro also, don’t remember him dropping anything outside of the pitch.

5. Test wicket as a teenager and 40-year old

@@5starisms it had nothing to do with his lack of concentration; he had several injuries, one of them being tennis elbow which cut short his bowling career. Had he not received those injuries he could be well on par with Jacques Kallis, maybe even better!

@@5starisms very true...despite all the unbelievable things he achieved in his career, I agree that he could still do a lot more if not for his injuries. Hell even few umpires(like that evil Buckner) had grudge against that giving him out by absolute blunder of decisions. He probably was one of the most unfortunate batsmen to have been given so many wrong decisions against him.
Had he been born in this era, he would've made most current bowlers his personal puppies and batsmen his Bunnies!

Ok, let me explain, he captained INDIA in most terrific time as almost half players were either fixers or bunnies of bookmarkres, still he never got chance to represent as an Indian skipper in any ODI WC or Knock-Out Cup (Champion Trophy) in his whole long 24 years career. Even in time of being skipper of one of most backyarded team in late 90's, he scored runs at an average of 110.87 in 11 matches held in year 1998. He was good as a captain, just look at his captainship in 2010's IPL edition, he scored most runs at an average of 58.04 and even after scoring 50 in final match against CSK, people like you criticizing him is really shameful thing! And just take a look, he took his team (MI) 2 times till final, one at age of 37 & another time when he was 40 years old & become first captain who gave MI their maiden title! He scored twin centuries in Sharjah in Tri-Series knockout matches still people criticizes him for being looser captain is really disgusting thing!

I have never seen that catch by Tendulkar in any of the " Tendulkar's best catches" video he took against Australia..it was the match in which he scored 175 chasing 350 odd in a loosing cause..the catch was taken at the last ball of the Aussie innings..
My grandmother and I am also great fan of master blaster Sachin Tendulkar. Me and my brother read the Sachin Tendulkar essay in 10th std. My favourite essay. He scored first double century (200) in Gwalior stadium.
