Thank you Terry. I'm teaching myself in Lockdown with the help of all you great youtube teachers. Could you use a capo on a sopranino to get to D tuning say? Would you have to change chord shapes? Keep well.
I’m so glad that you explained the capo better than I’ve heard. Because other people will say it changes the chord and will say this is a A now. But you saying that it doesn’t change the shape so if I play a C, I don’t have to re-think what the chord really is because I’m still playing the chord shape. I hope I made sense lol.
Thanks straight to the point and helpful..I dont know my singing tone needs yet but have a feeling now I may need to use my cute old fashion banjo capo my cute local acoustic shop sold me when I didnt want to shell out 35 for a uke one.. helpful to know to tune with it on.
I have been with you on the Guitarlele course and we change the cord shapes there ie. a C becomes an F shape. So how can what you say about the shape being the same on the second fret apply. I see that the c becomes a d but confused . Thanks
So painful to even look at someone putting their full arm's weight on a strapped ukulele where the strap's front is even on the neck and not on a button on the body... You literally stress the neck like hell, just FYI. Shouldn't show these things to newbies since you are "an instructor".....

Yess, got to make good use of my capo. Thanks for sharing.
Do you have instruction on what keys change to what keys with diff capo positioning? Thanks!
Is there a brand or style or capo that you would recommend for ukulele?
What are your recommendations for capos? Are they universally sized for different sized ukuleles or are some better for thinner/thicker necks?

Any tips for using a capo for it not to feel like it is getting in your way?
Very useful:)
Thanks!
Ngl I feel like I'm gonna mistake a capo for a nail clipper
So if I have a capo on the first fret am I tuning to G#, C#, E#, A#
O.k. Tune with the capo on when recording and need to be perfectly in tune.
Why not just change the tuning?
