nah, good combo complex of endurance, strength and mental fortitude. Had muscleglasses approached it like the big guy, he would prolly have won, but tactics is part of the game, he gassed himself out hard by not resting between reps of the complex in the beginning. Fatigue makes cowards of us all:D

Look at Sebastian's form,it is precise,not open to controversy.In the other hand Jarda maybe not even squats quarter some of it.They have to be more strict with the rules.I expect red dzzzt light every time Jarda squats but no,there is none.Dat Sebastian guy is maybe the most powerful guy in the strength wars.Damn his form and strength is legit.
people don't understand how important form is....no matter how much you lift if you're form is wrong it doesn't count
The only problem is, Jarda's squats weren't parallel, not even close. This is not a bodybuilding competition, at least I didn't see anyone posing in swimming trunks. Quarter rep in your gym building quads all you want, but don't go to a strength competition doing that same ROM and calling it parallel, because it isn't. And Jardas squats would recieve three red lights in any competition that I know of.

If this was a real competition he would've won. The other guy didn't squat properly, plus he's on steroids for sure. Sebastian was visibly smaller, yet his personal best in deadlift was a whooping +50kgs better than the other guy LOL.
sanshinron I'm pretty sure both of them use PEDS, the bigger guy might just use more / train more bodybuilding style

sanshinron I don't care about roids. It was his technique, and his ROM that did it for me.
MhMMM for me, after all videos talking about the strenght sports, it's fair to say that 90% of people is on roids... The problem is the quantity and quality of them... About the acné, each some time I have a few pimples (not in my face, but in my chest, specially after some workouts) and I'm 100% natural.... I mean, I only do calisthenics, in a basic to intermediate level, and I'm a poor guy, meaning that I don't have the money to pay a decent cycle of roids (and in the top of that, I'm not interested on them and in my city almos all people don't know about this topic. In the top of that, my health is the more important thing for me). I also know some people in my town with the same problem than me at 30 or even 40 years old. It's a problem based in genetics, food (if I eat margarine the problem is worst), and sometimes, the environment: the flowering time in the spring... Maybe the case, maybe the roids cause Sebastian's acne,, is really hard to say, but my post is only for clear that not all people after their 15 years old not show acne. Some people has problems with his hormonal control.
Sebastian won, Not a single front squat or back squat was done by Jarda. His depth was god awful and Sebasian clearly had decent Oly lifting technique and precision. They should have made Jarda actually hit depth on reps and he would have failed first round. My $0.02 which I guess doesn't matter. Congrats Sebastian for dominating the entire contest.

Beer & Deadlifts yeah, same here... there should be a more strict way of handling the way they lift, because technicaly Sebastian was just about perfect.

Sebastian was obviously the strongest and he dicked up by not pacing himself appropriately. I'd like to see him again; fucking beast that he is.
I think Sebastian was not as strong as the other competitors, but his technique was so much better than theirs that he could do the lifts easier. The end was pure endurance and technique had much less influence which is why he lost.
it's interesting because the "bear complex" is supposed to be unbroken, where you don't take your hands off the bar, which is how sebastian did it the first few rounds...also the other guy wasn't squatting nearly as deep as him
Dude, look at their personal bests in deadlift, Sebastian has 350kg record, the other guy, while visible bigger, only has 300kg deadlift record. That's steroid misuse lol.
Sebastian is close to world record in squat so he is stronger than any of those guys

Even though Sebastian didn't win, his technique and mastery of controlling the weight throughout the competition was amazing.

I think Sebastian lost last round because he didnt throw barbell down. He used his muscles to go down and bring it back up when other dude just throw this shit in the ground and save some energy. Sebastian could win this. Any way. Great job for all the guys. Awesome show.

I agree. But weren't you supposed to bring the barbell down to your shoulders before putting it down to complete a rep? Looks like Jarda wasn't doing that at all. He just started dropping the barbell from the very top,

I don't care that Jarda won the competition. Sebastian is the winner by far. with is explosive power and his flawless technique he made all the others looking like beginners. he's a machine! I join the group who wants to see him against Romano, and personally I think that Sebastian will win this time.

This is one of the best videos bodybuilding rev/strength wars has done. That and Johannas bench vid. It's cool to see more than 2 guys face off and instead of awkward resting between the two, there's constant action with more contenders.

The guy in the glasses made the rest look amateur for the first 2 rounds then planned poorly for the last one.
There is nothing wrong with diversity. Why should all videos be the same format?
The guy in glasses had great technique, but in sheer strength... He was a tiny bit behind the final winner, who took his time(steady pacing wins the race) and dropped the weight every time(which reserves energy).
Richard Decker the "winner" cheated as bear complex should be done without dropping or letting go of the bar.
the beast with the glasses finished the deadlifts is 27 seconds while it took the other guys 3-5 minutes to finish. That's just shows he is on a whole other level.

Jarda was not going deep enough on his front squats, Sebastian won.
I prefer this concept, because it excludes a one sided boring contest. Just imagine Sebastian would have only fought against one with exactly these exercises and the last part would have been 10 reps etc. He would have just dominated everybody because of his superiour technique by time by far. Does he weighlift btw? That looked so good. ^^ But because it was a 3 round tournament the other guys still had a chance and could make a comeback.
Great show, but probably difficult to manage to find these high caliber of competitors and have them meeet at the same time etc etc. ^^ Logistical qutie hard.
