You seem to make a great teacher and mentor. I'm sure I would have gotten into the trades a lot sooner if I came across someone with your demeanor. Thank you for sharing:)
Tim, let me become an Awesome Framer too! I can also SketchUp drawings for you but more importantly, I would love to work side by side with you! I’m licensed in California but would love to be a part of your crew! Plus, I always laugh at your jokes. Is there something brown on my nose? lol
@@AwesomeFramers yes they look really great- l have always swung a stiletto but would love to give a Martinez a go whenever my current daily gives out- too bad they last so long lol🤣
Our scope of work started after the foundation and site work. We didn't place those piers nor the foundation........which is why they are as close as they are 🤣🤣🤣🤣
When building a deck next to a house (especially one that's low to the ground) wouldn't it be better to not attach it to the house and just have it be free-standing (just add in another beam and a couple more posts next to the foundation)? That way the home's exterior insulation and siding can run right down to the foundation and you wouldn't have any tricky connections to flash at the deck ledger.
Tim ? Your bags ? Akribis? I hv a set of trim bags I had them make for me and really really enjoy them ! Full of glue I wipe on them , marked and scratched up ? But nothing like a set of leather bags! Yep tried the light cloth I get it ? But leather is so nice ! Hey look good on you man!
Question on your pressure treated lumber you guys use over there, Do you notice if it lasts longer than the normal around the rest of the U.S.? (Asking as someone who is a super for a GC who hates the pressure treated lumber nowadays)
Two things. One for Jordan. Don’t let your toes toe inward: if (and when) you need to react to something you’ll want your feet splayed outward. Ps. Welcome to the trades. You made the right choice. BUT THIS ONE REALLY GETS MY GOAT. ACME TOOLS ARE HORRIBLE!!! Not one, NONE of their products ever worked for the Coyote!!!
You mean put them on the outside of the girder and tap them lower than the joists? I don't know if that is code allowed, I thought they had to go on the beam.
Thanks for the breakdown! I have a quick question: My OKX wallet holds some USDT, and I have the seed phrase. (alarm fetch churn bridge exercise tape speak race clerk couch crater letter). How can I transfer them to Binance?
Man this new generation sucks lol. How that kid uses that hammer reminds me of guys I have and drives me nuts. Hit the thing with some purpose dude come on
@ it doesn’t take less than a month to learn how a hammer works lol. No knock on you guys we all have to work with what we’re given. I wouldn’t be commenting if I didn’t watch your stuff man.
@@petemohanco414 I hear you, but I disagree for a few reasons. One is that we just don't use hammers as much as when I started. I spent my first summers using a hammer before a nail gun. Now its the opposite. A month isn't very long to learn to use a hammer when its barely used. There is an art to swinging and it takes a lot of repetition. Will Holladay has a book that devotes pages to the art of the hammer swing.

The black chalk part is great 😂. If we can’t have a little fun at work then we are doing it all wrong.
Thank you for taking time to teach future tradesmen the pride and joy of learning a new skill and doing it well!
not to bad the “Québec and croissant”! - from a French Canadian
That’s a big deck you’ve got there!
Love watching you guys work, learn a lot to even though I know I will never have a home for myself. Hope you all have a blessed New Year

What do you think about Martinez hammers?
Absolutely love it. www.jlconline.com/tools/hand-tools/field-tested-the-martinez-m1-titanium-handled-hammers_o

Teach that youngster proper lifting techniques so he can stay feeling young 😂 great video as mostly
How are you liking those akribis tool bags?
Very well designed, but I'm just not a leather guy
Any chance of a proper review? @AwesomeFramers
Don’t forget to explain to Jordan how you misplaced those concrete bases 🤣🤣🤣. I mean they are close so that’s the silver lining

I was testing these for Luke. I started as a leather guy, but really prefer nylon
@ we’ll still enjoy your videos ; little heartbroken over you not keeping them ? No I am not crying ? Allergies !
Hey, random question: is getting the white pencil mark off the stained lumber an issue?
Train your guys! Yes. My best employers were the ones who cared to show me how to suffer the least haha.
I also went to Disney land in 86 and hated it too!
Shawshank! All too easy (

Serious question: Why cut down the blocking and not just tap it below flush of the top and let the bottom hang down the difference?

Pro tip. Animals love living under decks that are 1 ft off the ground. Stamped concrete might be a cleaner option.
Definitely would have been my preference.
Saw-Shank redemption: perfect framing movie, cuz he was framed…😂
Another pro tip: remember to buy the brown wood treatment and not the green. Ask me how I know...
What happened to old kyle
Nice wrap around deck … Material choice would have been something different. I would’ve tried to talk my customer in to …..
We did.........

The kid walks like he's on a sunday walk.
The German translation is super fast and the video is unwatchable
PT is as you say, super annoying. Never figured out why it has to be that way.
Looks like Liberace and Clay Aiken had a son that decided to play carpenter .. I can't watch this .
Thanks for the compliment

Why is there a 12 yo in his fairy princess pajamas giving framing vids?
Andy Dufresne and his buddy Red. Did they ever say Red’s last name? “Get busy livin’ or get busy dyin’!” ❤️🫡
