You can never count Port out of a game early, best underdog team in the comp. No one expected them to win but they showed up and made brave changes in the list when it mattered most. Full credit to Ken he got the better of Voss tonight.
Putting Esava in the forward was really a big change and it goes to show he plays more better up forward than in defence
I also think it shocked carlton having another big body forward that wasn't dixon

Doggies supporter here but enjoy watching Port play. Great comeback as they looked dead and gone. They need to carry this form into the finals as there one of the best lists in the league.

As a Carlton supporter as a kid I was spoiled 8 premierships . Through the seventies eighties the last one in 1995 I haven't trusted any Carlton team since 99 runners up.. that's why I thought port would win!
Having said that the way team's play hot and cold Carlton could still win the GF 😮

I did not see this coming. Esava looked quite comfortable in the forward line and has a decent kick on him. Could be a nice Ace up Port's sleeve come finals time.
He's a Forward anyways. Just been placed in backline when he joined Port 🤷.

But Port are no Melbourne Storm. Like Carlton. But I like Port as well as being a Blues fan because port and Carlton and I guess Collingwood are closest thing to the Storm!
This year is just unbelievable they have never had so many injuries to so many star players. And there they are there games clear on top of the ladder.. Seriously Aussie rules was a religion to me!

He puts himself into positions forcing the backmen to manhandle him. Thats called good forward craft.

Curnow statistically has the highest free kick to goal ratio out of any AFL/VFL player in history. Not only that but he also holds the most free kicks to a goal in a season ever and he's also hold the second place record for it aswell. This year hasn't finished yet so he'll probably make up the whole top 3.

Cerra and Walsh been ordinary for a month. They will get better, Crippa a bit quiet as well. We shouldn't be panicking just yet. Port are a good side that were top 3 last year but out in straight sets in the finals to Brisbane who played off and GWS who nearly played off so you are coming good at the right time this year.
Ports handball work around stoppage was the best I've seen all season, draw the man in, handball out and repeat until you have space and time to find someone down field.
Free kick Carlton! Well done port for beating calrtons 26 man team. And how’s the BT and Brenton trying to suggest that DBJ goal wasn’t one 😂😂. Also, lets keep Esava up forward, that’s the best game I’ve seen him play, he was a natural!
You have to say looking at the table the draft and salary cap are working superbly to level the contest. Every Premiership point is gold and it's a marathon now to see who can put their best fit team on the park in September. The ultimate winner will need more than an ounce of luck this season as key injuries at the wrong time can cruel any club's chances.

I went to this game and it was crazy full with Carlton fans. When port Adelaide was in front the Carlton fans started leaving. What a bunch of sore losers

As usual Carlton continually having key players missing. It’s a miracle they are 2nd place. Unfortunately I think they blown their chances. Going to tough stopping the Lions from getting 2nd which means either 1st or 3rd week of finals will need to win in either Brisbane or Sydney. Better luck with injuries in 2025 they be the team to beat.
If Carlton can’t win with the lads in green up their rear, than I don’t see how they are premiership contenders 😂😂😢😢

Last year Port hovered around second most of the year then slid a bit at the end, now Carltons doing the same. We need our best 22 on the park to stay competitive. No TDK, no Mckay, no Acres, losing Cunningham early on in the game, 5 day turnaround as well and Port were going ok as well so its not all lost yet. An injured Collingwood next week and other than the Hawks should win the rest of the games.

Just an observation: Carlton looked at their best in the second quarter when Cripps had almost no influence. Walsh in particular was tearing the game apart in the first half. Then, they reverted back to relying on Cripps to drag them back into the contest in the second half, and it wasn’t enough, just like it wasn’t enough against the dogs two weeks ago. He may win the Brownlow, but that is not the formula for Carlton to win the flag.
I don't go for them but i think Port Adelaide will win it this year
