WoW This video is loaded with useful information for playing guitar. Major thanks for sharing . Finally I’m actually starting to understand how to play this instrument beyond just chord progressions. You are the BEST!
That tip about finding the vii diminished chord from the tonic barre chord using the D shape is great! I’m going to start trying to incorporate the diminished chord into my playing more. Fun!
Once again ,as a late in life beginner.. If it makes it easier for anybody.. What I use to Remember that you don't skip a fret between B & E... I always say, to BE or not to B..E...That is the question🤔 So i'm NOT.. going to skip a fret after those notes🤷♂️ Anyway ..it works for me😜 Thanks for another great lesson🤗🎸
I've heard that diminished chord moving up the neck on records before but didn't know what it was or how to do it. That's really interesting. Thank you.
Very well explained for someone new and not so new to guitar. Love your videos Tony you really touch on things that help people to progress in their journey with the guitar. Not just some Fancy playing that says look at how good I am or some click bait video about learning to play solos with out scales and theory like other videos on here. I always enjoy what you upload dont ever stop lol
Brilliant lesson, love it, playing around with those chords and just making stuff up is addictive and such good practice! Just one thing I can't get my head around is that the F# DIM sounds great but I can't find that fingering anywhere else on chord charts/apps etc. Am I missing something? No biggie 'cos if it sounds good...
I qualify as a late learner. Started at age 46. 49 now. I mostly wing it, play by ear and just roll with it. I let my guitar covers speak for themselves! IT's fun! But of course I'm not good at creating original stuff or soloing, or speed. Just don't have the reflexes lol
