- I was choosing these 34 common Russian phrases very carefully in order to give you the quintessence of the most useful and popular phrases in Russian, expressions, patterns or whatever we can call them.
I translated these common Russian phrases in English and spoke them out twice in slow and fast pace. You can use this lesson to improve either your vocabulary and Russian pronunciation. It designed for both beginners and intermediate levels.

8. Теперь (5:58) - from now on (kinda like 'but now')

10. Из-за (7:28) - due to/ because of
11. Вследствие (8:13) - due to/ in consequence of
12. В течение (9:00) - in the course of/ during/ for
13. Не только... но и... (9:47) - not only... but also...
14. Либо (10:31) - either
15. Если... то... (11:12) - if... (then...)
16. Скорее всего (11:52) - most likely/ probably
17. Скорее (12:34) - I'd rather, he'd rather, etc
18. Так или иначе (13:13) - one way or another/ anyway
19. В любом случае (14:09) - anyway/ in any case

That is a very great lesson ! the idea is wonderful, but also the way you do it. You give the urge to repeat. Fooling around a bit with the sentences is clever, we need to do it, thinking of acting a bit we actually learn a better way, a fun way. Not thinking so much of learning, but trying to express ourselves, makes us learning better.
