im saying its only a matter to time before the darkness takes hold of her and she goes through with it. she has killed using dark magic before. next time, I cant help but feel she will not hesitate to kill again.

I mean in the last episode before she ran away she said to Soren "I could kill you, but I won't. I'm still nice, I'm still me." For her to get to that point I think Aaravos would have to have full control of her body like he controlled Callum in earlier seasons. She wouldn't kill Callum either, she had a legit opportunity to end his life in season 7 but didn't and just fled. She said she didn't want to kill him before their fight. I definitely think she's still good on the inside even if she's been corrupted by darkness. If there was no redemption planned for her, she wouldn't still be refusing to kill her friends.
This is how I think the Darkside of the Force was meant to be in Star Wars. Its not ying yang thing. The Darkside like Dark-Magic is a negative force in their world. Good can possibly come from it but not without the cost of something else. It easy to use but it leaves a deep scar on the soul. The scars build until you forget the reasons you got them in the first place.

Callum put up a good fight as a mage, but Claudia simply had the edge due to dark magic. It's such a shame what happened between them given how close Callum and Claudia were at the start.
It’s amazing how this series doesn’t consider the freezing blood spell for being as unethical as any dark magic spell. Sure it doesn’t require a living sacrifice or put some darkness in your heart that attaches you to Aaraavos, but it’s essentially just a torture spell. Sure a fire spell can burn someone in a torturous manner painfully to death, but it also has the purpose of simply making a fire to have warmth and cooking. This blood freezing spell only has the purpose to commit torture towards other people just for the sake, to kill them slowly incredibly painfully, and to get a person’s spirit to break down to submit to another’s will. Or all the above. It’s like in Hogwarts Legacy where attacking random characters with a Killing Curse is bad, but using any other magic to commit evil or kill people is fine. Of course Callum wasn’t deliberately trying to commit evil, but one would argue torturing your opponent to stop them from committing more acts of evil and doing so to defend yourself isn’t exactly the most ethical pathway ever taken.

The showdown between Claudia and Callum really does show Claudia's edge over Callum and its great because it gives him a reason to grow. I love them both its such good writing.

Callum is strong but he is not up to Claudia's level, she has more experience in magic than him and dark magic gives more advantages than primary magic.
I am really happy to see Runaan and Callum work together. I admit before, I thought Runaan still utterly hated Callum for being the king's stepson as well as a human. 😊
I really don't like that they had Runaan with Callum in this fight. In my opinion that was bad writing. It should have been Ethari or someone else, ANYONE else. Because how does a "senior assassin" not immediately put an arrow through Claudia, the main baddy of the series (who also just murdered another mage), while she is literally suffocating your daughters boyfriend? Granted Claudia has infinite plot armor. I am just saying It just should not have been Runaan in this scene.

She causes so much pain and suffering to the innocent. That armor transforms her with scales and makes her dangerous. Claudia didn’t want to kill Callum, but she’s still angry at him. Callum battles his former friend honorably with primal magic while he has Runaan to aid him. Yes, Callum and Runaan should have some time together, even if it gets a little awkward 🪄🔮🐲🐉🧝♂️🧝🧝♀️🧚🧚♀️🧚♂️
How did she get so lost? Her love for her father led to her support of him and his actions but seeing all that has come of it, and even her father’s slight regret, how can she keep going?

I think they were both holding back. She herself didn’t want to kill Callum and Callum didn’t want to kill her. They’re still on opposite sides but it sounds like they might have an even better fight or something down the road if we get season 8-10
It seems like Claudia is planned to eventually have a redemption arc. Because she said it herself in this battle, she doesn't hate Callum and she doesn't want to kill him. Claudia was corrupted by dark magic but she still has good in her. That's why she also held back and just fled instead of killing Callum and her brother in the last episode.

Like, I'm sorry but Venus Frigoris is a one shot type move, unless you can cast the unfreeze spell, you're done for, you're in constant agony and moving hurts like hell. Callum was able to move during it and cast the reverse spell back in season 5 because it's supposed to be the counter spell to it. And you're telling me Claudia just, pulls a corpse out of her bag (she SHOULDN'T be able to move her hands to even get it, let alone have the grip strenght for it) and casts the spell, which somehow stops the effects of Venus Frigoris Like??? No?? Even if you're out of breath the spell has already been cast, it's not like Aspiro where it relies on the user to blow it And then Runaan, instead of shooting her and ending the fight right then and there He threatens her? Claudia is smarter, stronger and has more battle experience. 1 on 1 she can beat everyone except Aaravos and her dad. But usually she is fighting with her friends, that she doesn't want to kill, and also writers never let her fight 1 on 1. It is always Claudia vs 2 or 3 other characters. And still she almost always wins

She was trying to kill him and Runaan and he probably wisher to subdue her. Plus Callum probably put two and two together when he found out that Aaravos was out. He knows she released him and killed Archmage Akiyu who was his chance of stopping Aaravos so he's probably feeling pretty seething right then.

Claudia is smarter, stronger and has more battle experience. 1 on 1 she can beat everyone except Aaravos and her dad. But usually she is fighting with her friends, that she doesn't want to kill, and also writers never let her fight 1 on 1. It is always Claudia vs 2 or 3 other characters. And still she almost always wins

Callum is a hypocrite but just like katara. Does blood bending when it suits.
One thing people dont mention is he uses Venus Frigorus on her...... he KNOWS from PERSONAL experience what that spell does, and how much pain it causes..... he wants to cause her pain
She was trying to kill him and Runaan and he probably wisher to subdue her. Plus Callum probably put two and two together when he found out that Aaravos was out. He knows she released him and killed Archmage Akiyu who was his chance of stopping Aaravos so he's probably feeling pretty seething right then.
