    I made these tonight. I omitted the pistachios and used Lily’s stevia sweetened vegan chocolate chips. They were absolutely delicious. We will definitely be making these again. I recently purchased your book Secrets To Ultimate Weight Loss. Very impressed with what you’ve created. I look forward to purchasing Unprocessed and your desert book next. Thank you for sharing your gifts. You’re no doubt saving countless lives.

    OMG I've just made this and this was so filling and delicious! Can't believe we've been eating brownies with flour, sugar and dairy without not that much nutrition at all.. one regret though I should have put in 3 dates instead of 2, may be tried to be too healthy lols. Thank you I've bought your book now and have become a no.1 fan.

    I notice this is also on forks over knives but it didn’t list 1/2c of almond milk or flaxseed. And did anyone else have a problem with the batter still wet after 35min? I left it for 45 but was still wet. Just wondering what I’m doing wrong and if the type of pan makes a difference. I used a glass pan. Love how chef AJ finds a way around using process ingredients 😍

    I can't wait to try these but a quick question to anyone who's made them in a silicon pan. After they cool how do you cut them without 'hurting' the pan? I don't think you could remove them like a cake, so do you just use a blunt thing to cut with?

    • @CHEFAJ
      @CHEFAJ  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      You can use a blunt knife in the silicone pan, but definitely not a sharp one.

    I love these brownies! Has anyone ever used whole dates instead of date syrup? Wondering how that would turn out and whether to blend the dates with water or blend dates directly with the beans.
    Update: I tried using dates instead of the date syrup and it was not as sweet and I ended up adding date powder as well. I think I would have to use a lot more dates to make it into a firm 1 cup of date paste in order for it to be as sweet as the date syrup. Date syrup is still the best taste wise!

      Yeah that’s the wonderful part about being able to make your own date syrup at home, you get to control how it’s made, and keep the fiber to have it still be “whole”. Just a quick question for you: How exactly do you make your date syrup then? Do you boil dates in water and then blend that mixture in your Vitamix until smooth? Would you be able to show us that tutorial in an upcoming video possibly?

      Heather Kaye, congratulations on losing so much weight! That's awesome! I radically switched to a whole-food, plant-based lifestyle back in Nov 2017, and I'm simply amazed that I've already lost 35 lbs. I was 49 when I started so, for me losing even 5 lbs and keeping it off was simply impossible. The best part of my experience was that joint pain from severe rheumatoid arthritis disappeared the very first week. The key to my success was reading the science behind my food choices. I started with Dr Caldwell Esselstyn's book "Prevent and Reverse Heart Disease" (even though I've never had heart disease) and then I read "The China Study" by Dr T. Colin Campbell. Seeing what certain food choices do to the body was beyond fascinating. It made it super easy for me to say "no thank you" to any and all tempting foods. I learned that I can be surrounded by friends and family eating fatty meals and junk desserts and simply say no. I always make sure to eat my healthy meals before going to social gatherings and then just enjoy the people, not the foods. There is a lot of support out there. The Forks Over Knives documentary is inspiring but their website is full of easy and tasty recipes. I also bought chef AJ's cookbook. She's great. Sorry for the long reply, and all the best to you! 🧡
