Would love to see you cover (formally Astro's) Rocky's newest album, that recently debuted. I'd especially enjoy seeing dance and music reactions to the MV 'Lucky Rocky' and the showcase performance of 'Chameleon'.
I love this album. She is already an established artist so she has nothing to prove, i know a lot of fans expect bigger and higher notes. But i just love to listen to the album especially to calm and relax myself
Okok I know she's gg but I still root for her like a rookie bc I feel like as a solo adult woman, she gets less pr drive from sm, which is everything in contemp pop in sk music industry(which is like almost everything currently, given how young the modernized music scene/econ is there) Love that she has more room to pursue her own style as a solo artist! As an old sowon I remember her subtle opinions about what her girls gen discog was like, and what she liked more and was less excited about. Her voice is so good and it's so cool to hear her find her vibe!!! Shes so cool 😍😍

Her mini albums are always like that. Very calming and easy to listen to. It's the music you'll want to play for a chill vibe.
As a her fan over 10 years. She is OKAY when people don’t like her music. She said that she wants to seduce people by her different music. Personally i love this album cause it’s different from her old music. She grows up a lot and always wants to make something new. She always surprises us.

I actually prefer taeyeon staying minimal. This is lowkey one of her best mini albums, it just flows so well.
Taeyeon's voice and music has spoke to me since my early K-Pop days, in 2012 and she continues to speak to me with her music. I love that she does what she does because she loves it and you can feel it.
Fabulous and Melt away are my favourites of this album. I actually loved the whole album and this kind of album. It felt very mature
SYLVIA I genuinely missed seeing her on the channel the wait was worth it. Can I just say I’ve been obsessed with Taeyeon sense 2014 and the way I’m still getting surprised by her and her artistry and she’s just amazing. I love the album it’s just came at the perfect time and I just missed her so much.
yes, taeyeon also said the same things. this time her album is more light and chill since she comeback in november during winter so she want to put something just light and chill. and also she doesnt want any pressure not like INVU. just simple and no pressure.
The singing in this mini album is amazing. She is really talented
I really love the album. Not the most intricate instrumentals of her catalogue, but as usual she did amazing with dynamics and melodies. My only peeve tho is that out of 6 songs, only 2 of them are over 3 minutes… I really miss 3 and a half minutes songs 🥲

On her countdown live last monday she said To.X and Melt Away was the candidates for the title track, she chose To.X because it's more symbolic. And she participated writing lyrics for All For Nothing..
This is what I loved about when it's the singers/professionals that reacts to Taeyeon's music, they give very detailed notations to the most unnoticeable aka. the layering. Taeyeon is a perfectionist when it comes to that and people don't give her enough credit for that. Thank youuuu for this, the layering in Meltaway is truly insane. As expected, another no skip album from The Kim Taeyeon 💜
I feel like these songs will be really good live where she's given the opportunity to embellish and ad lib. I hope she does live versions akin to what she did for WDICY and INVU.

Everyone saying Taeyeon was forced to put Fabulous onto this album didn't watch Taeyeon's countdown live. She said she added it because the album felt too heavy and depressing. Although I get where she is coming from, I'd rather have an album feel complete.
My first impression of the album is 50-50 but maybe im brainwashed my self into listen to it all day, now i love the album. Its a no skips album for me as INVU and Purpose. The genre is so different.

Fabulous sounds like a out-of-place number in the album at first but it really grew on me and I find myself repeating the chorus especially in the morning when I want to feel good about starting the day 😂
Currently all the #1 and #2 position on every k-charts are occupied by taeyeon and aespa. Centre1 is gonna get their paycheck sooner than they thought😂😂

Her mini albums are always more niche and similar in style to her Japanese albums. Personally I can't stop listening to the title track, it's so simple but in a good way, fun to listen but has amazing lyrics thanks to queen Kenzie. I think the relatable lyrics are the reason the song is a hit in SK without much marketing.
Also Melt Away is one of her best songs, insane
Btw the piano in Fabulous is giving me an R&B song released during the late 00s idk like something from TheDream?? Mariah’s Obsessed piano notes? Actually all of Mariah’s Memories of an Imperfect Angel?? I don’t really know but it just reminded me of a VERY specific time frame lol

Off topic but I neeed you to react to Kiss of Life - “Bad News” and especiallyyyyyy “Nobody Knows”, the vocals are insane in this and I feel like you would absolutely enjoy this. These are two title tracks of their new album and the storylines are linked in the MV. They are so criminally underrated.
I did on Patreon. Bad News was dreadful but Nobody knows was cute, overall I was disappointed by the EP considering how great the debut was.
@@Koko3op oh I get what you mean with bad news, chorus wasn’t it for me, recommended it though bc I was confused with the storyline while watching and later on noticed it’s linked to nobody knows. Personally I don’t really care for the storylines anyway but with this one I felt it is mature and a rarely topic addressed in kpop. Nobody knows though, probably my fav song from them.

LOL you all hate Fabulous cause it doesnt sound like part of this album, think it shouldn’t be the last song. But in countdown live, she said she doesn’t want a "final song" and sounds so heavy and sad. She wants listener could listen the whole album again like a loop.

I'm also curious as to how you think of Lee Mujin himself (he's also a singer). I found him very nasally (?) Idk how to express it professionally, it's just he sounds different. Like it's not easy as head vs chest voice but he seems to be comfortable singing.

Melt away definitely should have been the title track. I think taeyeon made a big mistake on that part. To x didn't leave a strong impression.

I really think Melt Away should have been the title track and Fabulous *and* To X should have been out of the album. To X is fine but think Melt Away is so good it makes it superfluous. Guess you gotta fill up the six songs mandate.
I agree. I think fabulous is not a Taeyeon style song. She also known as someone shy and doesnt like to praise herself. It is like they forced her to make this song coz fans like this kind of self centered songs.

She is shy but she's not that self-deprecating. She has referred her self as king a lot so I guess it's just a fun song for her to switch up the mood of the album a bit.
@@WaitingForTheHook SM always force her. Four Seasons is for me one of her best title track but SM forced her to pick that. Glad they did it. In this album she said they couldnt pick btw To.X and Melt Away as a title and decided on To X for a album concept and ıf Tae give this info you know she prefer Melt Away and want us to know it. Fabulous is not like a song belong to this album like they put it at last minute with quick composing. This is not Taeyeon style work so I feel it is not her choice.

Song is fun but it is not Taeyeon. Diamonds on me, my walk, bad girl, my elegance..every lyrics are so typical and forced and not her. That is why dont think it is written with thinking about her. She care about lyrics and ıf the song is about her she like to see herself.
