Another great tour, JD. So strange to see the level of opulence knowing that it was blown to bits during WWII. Did it feel as weirdly forbidding in person as it seemed on the video?
I figured that people could hit the pause button to read what interested them. Didn’t want to linger too long or else I’d have people complaining that I was spending too much time on the signs and not the scenery. 😅
Yeah, on this one, I filmed a lot of the signs which I felt replaced the need for the captions. If you check out the other videos, you’ll find that I put more in there.
Yes, you filmed a lot of signs but didn't stay focused on them long enough for me to read. I hate to be a whiner. I'll go back and try pausing the video at the signs.
@HistoryTravelerWalkingTours gracias amigo. I watched it earlier without the captions and will be rewatching with the captions here shortly. Excellent content🤙
Not even 5 minutes into the video and had to stop to say how stunning this museum is!
The sheer scale of the rooms is amazing.
Yes, please, and thank you! Love your work 😊
Watching this has allowed me to imagine I was in Munich even for a short time.
Loved my 2 days seeing it! Amazing! Love Munich!!
Wow! Amazing place.
I'm really enjoying these walking videos. Thanks for doing it and keep it up.
Thanks!
Good to see everyone's grateful for the time and effort 😅 Thanks JD. Good insight to a place I haven't been before. Made me add it to my long list!
😂👍🏻
Wow, in spite of the opulence and elegance, it is also rather austere and somewhat foreboding. JD, another Great walk! Thank you.

No closed captions ? 😄wow that was a HUGE residence.
That may have been an error on my part. Captions should be working now. Thanks!
@ thanks JD, I ended up stopping the video and reading the boards. An opulent place.
The Bavarian aristocrats spared no expense!
No, they did not. Wild.
Overload the senses...got to take a nap. Thanks... absolutely something...lots of it destroyed in WWII...

Viel zu wenig kunsthistorische -und auch anekdotische - Anmerkungen.
Not nearly enough time to read the signs

No time to really see anything. Felt like a pinball bouncing around the place. Plus, hardly any captions.

Good sir, it is saying that closed captions are not available!
