I loved watching you waffle on your choice of colours/brands as well, it's real, just the way everyone else hesitates and second guesses themselves. Much more helpful to listen to you work through the process than if you had just laid out your chosen colours and started on the picture. Keep doing it your way! ❤️
I’m So. California close to Los Angeles.... We got snow last week.. and had a hard freeze warning a couple nites ago.. Strange weather for sure.. I love what you are doing here, for sure pulling this book n same pencils and going to color along.. So the 3rd color has to be from a set I have as well people.. 😆

It’s very early in the video but I think those dark, weird shapes you noted are the ‘inside’ of the white foam heads Claire. You might end up noting it later.😘 I’m so glad you’ve gotten back to this colouring so quickly. I do so love your videos.🥰🌹
I am loving this coloralong. Without it I never would have tried a Kirby Rosannes book! I am learning a lot. I think a live would be fun. Please do more coloralongs but only if you enjoy them. Coloring should be fun for you, too. The white really does make a difference. I'm a senior widow so I love videos where the person is talking rather than music. Otherwise my home is too quiet. I kept up with you pretty good but stopped to watch the white process before I tackle it. As for purples, Black Widow has some lovely choices. Wishing you the best! See you in part 3!
The black spots in the water looks like rocks to me. I'm glad you talk about life and lack of motivation for the videos I've had a lack of motivation myself since the car accident I was in December. My son just turned 14 too so I've had birthday parties etc so I really like how real you are about life in your videos. Very helpful and motivating thank you 💜🥰 I love Pentel Gel Pens I have many in my coloring collection. I always tend to use the same colors purples, pinks, blues and teals getting other colors added is a struggle for me I get bored with the other colors. Also with your first video I was thinking of the word fulfilling or fulfilment. In Montana in the USA we have small patches of snow. We just had a rain and wind storm day before yesterday and couple weeks ago it was snowing and super cold. I always say here we have bipolar weather because it changes so drastically and can changes the next 5 minutes then will change back 😂

Hi Claire, I would go with the Rita Berman book that is catching your eye. I agree with your thoughts on Ukraine. I have a hard time getting through the winter months too. I am just not inspired during winter. A good photographer can help eliminate features you find less appealing so tell them you don't want a double chin 😉 then leave it to them. Lighting and positioning play big roles. Just a slight head tilt can make a difference. And as for this color along, your coloring in general, and your personality... amazing. I am enjoying watching this series and look forward to more videos. Thank you.
I didn’t think I would like doing a color along, but to my amazement, I did. I happened to have this book and I colored along. I was afraid of this page because of all the details. I love to see more in the future.

So enjoyed hanging out with you, I'm 47, I have 5 children, 3 are grown and I have a 4yo and a 3yo, so yeah🤷♀️, I love rock music, Slipknot, AIC, system of a down, stone sour, I live in the southern United States, Alabama, and we do get snow, usually 2-3 times a year, our weather is erratic to say the least, it was nearly 70 yesterday and 30 today🤷♀️, I'm going to rewatch this and color along as soon as I finish up a couple WIPs. Anywhoo, I think you are Awesome and love love love this type of color along!♥️♥️♥️🤗

Plus what the HECK is this or that object.. so you close the book and move on?? Some times we just need some Coaching.. through a picture to see.. IT'S OK! make it whatever you want.. just do your best.. do what Pleases you!! Not every picture we do Needs to be Perfect or a Instagram Masterpiece! It's supposed to be Fun, Relaxing an Enjoyable process! SO THANK YOU FOR BEING A EXCELLENT COACH!! Not at all boring!! I think that way we get to use various pencils. In Qld Australia although the weather is warm we’re being flooded out in the South East with sadly 3 deaths to date. I agree those are rocks in the water. I would love to see a livestream. The weather in Kentucky is all over the place this end of winter. We have had tornadoes and 70degrees F down to 11 degrees F and ice. As far as the length of the video, people can always watch for a bit and come back later... sorry so chatty but I am either very talkative or very quiet. Extremes lol.

Rita Berman's Europa book is a tour around Europe just like you said. She also has 4 books based upon the seasons and 1 compilation book of all four seasons. I started with the compilation book and have been very happy with it. I think she has two other books based upon under the sea and above the ground (I'm not exactly sure of the translation). All of her books are slightly smaller than 8"x8", so even though the pages are detailed, they aren't huge pages. They really are a lot of fun to collor and I think you would enjoy them very much. I am from Southern California and grew up with Sunday dinner, which is similar to what you described, but Thanksgiving dinner is much, much bigger with so many more side dishes and a huge Turkey. We do have Christmas Dinner...which can either be identical to Thanksgiving dinner or some people change it up by having Prime Rib of Beef, or Ham, and a lot of side dishes.
Claire, please let us know which book you decide to color in next, so we can buy it if we don't yet have it. (I'm a new colorist and only have a few books.) I would really enjoy coloring along WITH you, and will plan to buy whichever book you select. As someone who also hates to have their picture taken, but who has weathered quite a few photo sessions over the years, I can promise you that your photographer WILL pose you to your best advantage. So, please try not to stress yourself about it. It will be OK!!! And, you will LOVE having those portraits of your boys; it will all be most WORTH it! The dark shapes in the water? My brain wants to see them as rocks. Loved watching your color selection in the first video and seeing how you went about it. As a newbie, it's pretty easy for me to decide on pencils -- I have only Prismacolor Premieres at present -- but it is still near impossible for me to decide on colors. Lastly, you are my favorite YT Coloring Channel. Your voice is just so pleasant to listen to, and you offer so much encouragement and information. Thank you for being YOU!

You have so much knowledge to share with all of us. I was just swatching my Black Widow pencils with the new dragon set and love the violet tri-tones of blue tounge DG157, grape CB118 and space CB80. I live in Wisconsin and it’s just been cold here, hardly any snow this winter. I’m definitely ready for spring!!!
I've got 2 copys of this book! Lol. Was my favorite also!❤️. I love the process, and I'm glad I see I'm not the only one that uses the back pages of his books to test what I'm going to use to color with!🤣😂🤣🤭. I love watching them also, and I feel asleep watching the first part of this last night! 😁❤️. So I'll be watching rest of the first, come back and watch this one! Yes! I have a really hard time with what is going on in the world, my heart, and prayers and love go to the people in the Ukraine! And absolutely right Claire! Most of of that are really part of the humanity of the world,we know others all over don't want what they are doing! It's the evil that is running everything! Trust and believe! If the real people of the world was able to stand and be heard. We would be rid of that which is killing, taking, and wanting that of everything that doesn't belong to them. Just makes me sick. We have “Sunday Dinner” in the South every Sunday after church. The only difference between that and Thanksgiving dinner is the giant turkey, stuffing, cranberry sauce and pumpkin pie…those are the traditional added dishes that make it Thanksgiving Dinner (other than the day itself) in my family.
I forgot to comment last time, but thank you for sharing the BuddyColo colouring book app! It's fantastic, I'm definitely using it a lot. They just did an update now where on my collection page you can select random colouring - it chooses a random book from your collection and a page! It's really fun :) Looking forward to seeing you complete this page, I recently brought Worlds Within Words and I am loving it.
Now I've fully watched the video (while creating a new swatch chart) I can answer some of the things you've mentioned: YES YES YES do a live, please. I'm in New Zealand but I'll find a way to join in (working from home has some benefits). I love watching live stream colouring. Also, if you can figure out how you could even give away one of the books during the live? Just an idea (how amazing of a donation!) In terms of music, there are actually entire playlists (on TH-cam, Spotify, etc) that are royalty-free and you can play with no concerns. Also, Kevin Mcleod has some pretty decently long music on his website too. I personally colour while listening to audiobooks, feels like I'm achieving two hobbies at once (currently reading Lord of the Rings trilogy...each book is nearly 24 hours). For purples, well I've been working on a new Prismacolor swatch chart (trying to find a better order that works for me) and I'm sure you know, but I'd recommend 1008 Parma Violet, 932 Violet, and 132 Dioxazine Purple Hue. I still have to swatch my Inktense set otherwise I'd suggest some of them. I won't suggest any Polychromos since you don't like how they lay with Prismacolours. I love using markers on colouring pages. I often use them to base and do shading/detail work in Polychromos, which may be a way for you to use yours more. I find the translucency of the Polychromos works well for this, plus the super sharp tip. I only use them in books where it's one-sided printing and still put a layer underneath to protect (I have some laminating plastic sheets which I often use, but I have a laminator at work so I could do that easily. Several spare sheets also works.) In terms of marker ink, it's pretty comparable amongst all brands. The price difference is the brush nib and the refillability, and the colour ranges. As you mention Ohuhu are meant to be good, the Arteza ones are also good apparently (I can't personally say, I have copics, promarkers [W&N and the original Lestrat ones!] and various cheap random one's I've been gifted by people.) If you want some marker type tutorials and timelapses, I highly recommend PencilButter. She has a TH-cam (she doesn't upload anymore, but her videos are still there ) and live streams, and I've learnt A LOT from watching her. I'm not a Doctor, but I work in medical. I think you are fine with the water bottle. I use a pneumatic leg massager almost daily (arthritis) and that heats up significantly, and that came doctor recommended :) Finally, I wish we had snow here. It's the middle of summer here in New Zealand and it is stinking hot.
Oh yes, please do get yourself a couple of Rita Berman books. I love Meine Reise durch Europa and Die Welt unter der Lupe zu Lande (roughly translas the world under the magnifying glass - the land). She has a magnifying glass under the sea one too. She also has a cut down anthology of her 4 season books called Mein Spaziergang durch die Jahrszeiten. (Roughly - My Stroll through the Seasons). The uncoloured pages do look l8ke nothing special but oh my goodness the transformation when they are coloured is amazing. Rita herself is an super and bright colourist (similar to colourbrightbex in her wonderful colour choices) but sadly doesn't have time for tutorials. Would love you to do a series of any of the Rita Berman book tutorials. Pretty please. 😍 😄

I’m late to the Rita Berman party and started with her Europa book and I LOVE it. I’m afraid to color in it-that I might ruin it. But hey, I can always order another one and start over if I need to. So I dove in!
FWIW in Australia that pencil sharpener is branded OfficeGoods for $53.86AUD in black. Gold more expensive but silver cheaper still. Perhaps look up Amazon in your respective country under that name, looks excellent Claire as it’s power as well as battery driven it stated.🤗🌹
I'm a fairly new colourer (?) but loving watching the process, and techniques involved. Would love a live on this to interact. Also can I ask a question - can you recommend any colouring books with more whimsical animal - think Brambly hedge type pictures to colour as that is much more my style / age lol.

I love my POSCA pencils and they're not all that expensive. Also the Arrtx pencils are great and work well with their ALPs.

Loved watching your color selection in the first video and seeing how you went about it. As a newbie, it's pretty easy for me to decide on pencils -- I have only Prismacolor Premieres at present -- but it is still near impossible for me to decide on colors.

Another great video Claire! It’s so relaxing just to sit and watch you color and listen to you talk, you have a lovely voice ☺️ I think you should do more color alongs as well. You have so much knowledge to share with all of us. I was just swatching my Black Widow pencils with the new dragon set and love the violet tri-tones of blue tounge DG157, grape CB118 and space CB80. I live in Wisconsin and it’s just been cold here, hardly any snow this winter. I’m definitely ready for spring!!!

I love the process, and I'm glad I see I'm not the only one that uses the back pages of his books to test what I'm going to use to color with!🤣😂🤣🤭. I love watching them also, and I feel asleep watching the first part of this last night! 😁❤️. So I'll be watching rest of the first, come back and watch this one! Yes! I have a really hard time with what is going on in the world, my heart, and prayers and love go to the people in the Ukraine! And absolutely right Claire! Most of of that are really part of the humanity of the world,we know others all over don't want what they are doing! It's the evil that is running everything! Trust and believe! If the real people of the world was able to stand and be heard. We would be rid of that which is killing, taking, and wanting that of everything that doesn't belong to them. Just makes me sick. And breaks my heart.😭. Ok I'm done. Yes! Chinese white your going to love! It's like the polys and the Holbein White is like the Prisma. That's about as close as I can describe them. We have “Sunday Dinner” in the South every Sunday after church. The only difference between that and Thanksgiving dinner is the giant turkey, stuffing, cranberry sauce and pumpkin pie…those are the traditional added dishes that make it Thanksgiving Dinner (other than the day itself) in my family.

I forgot to comment last time, but thank you for sharing the BuddyColo colouring book app! It's fantastic, I'm definitely using it a lot. They just did an update now where on my collection page you can select random colouring - it chooses a random book from your collection and a page! It's really fun :) Looking forward to seeing you complete this page, I recently brought Worlds Within Words and I am loving it.
Now I've fully watched the video (while creating a new swatch chart) I can answer some of the things you've mentioned:
YES YES YES do a live, please. I'm in New Zealand but I'll find a way to join in (working from home has some benefits). I love watching live stream colouring. Also, if you can figure out how you could even give away one of the books during the live? Just an idea (how amazing of a donation!)
In terms of music, there are actually entire playlists (on TH-cam, Spotify, etc) that are royalty-free and you can play with no concerns. Also, Kevin Mcleod has some pretty decently long music on his website too. I personally colour while listening to audiobooks, feels like I'm achieving two hobbies at once (currently reading Lord of the Rings trilogy...each book is nearly 24 hours).
For purples, well I've been working on a new Prismacolor swatch chart (trying to find a better order that works for me) and I'm sure you know, but I'd recommend 1008 Parma Violet, 932 Violet, and 132 Dioxazine Purple Hue. I still have to swatch my Inktense set otherwise I'd suggest some of them. I won't suggest any Polychromos since you don't like how they lay with Prismacolours.
I love using markers on colouring pages. I often use them to base and do shading/detail work in Polychromos, which may be a way for you to use yours more. I find the translucency of the Polychromos works well for this, plus the super sharp tip. I only use them in books where it's one-sided printing and still put a layer underneath to protect (I have some laminating plastic sheets which I often use, but I have a laminator at work so I could do that easily. Several spare sheets also works.) In terms of marker ink, it's pretty comparable amongst all brands. The price difference is the brush nib and the refillability, and the colour ranges. As you mention Ohuhu are meant to be good, the Arteza ones are also good apparently (I can't personally say, I have copics, promarkers [W&N and the original Lestrat ones!] and various cheap random one's I've been gifted by people.) If you want some marker type tutorials and timelapses, I highly recommend PencilButter. She has a TH-cam (she doesn't upload anymore, but her videos are still there ) and live streams, and I've learnt A LOT from watching her.
I'm not a Doctor, but I work in medical. I think you are fine with the water bottle. I use a pneumatic leg massager almost daily (arthritis) and that heats up significantly, and that came doctor recommended :)
Finally, I wish we had snow here. It's the middle of summer here in New Zealand and it is stinking hot.
Oh yes, please do get yourself a couple of Rita Berman books. I love Meine Reise durch Europa and Die Welt unter der Lupe zu Lande (roughly translas the world under the magnifying glass - the land). She has a magnifying glass under the sea one too. She also has a cut down anthology of her 4 season books called Mein Spaziergang durch die Jahrszeiten. (Roughly - My Stroll through the Seasons).
The uncoloured pages do look l8ke nothing special but oh my goodness the transformation when they are coloured is amazing. Rita herself is an super and bright colourist (similar to colourbrightbex in her wonderful colour choices) but sadly doesn't have time for tutorials. Would love you to do a series of any of the Rita Berman book tutorials. Pretty please. 😍 😄

I’m late to the Rita Berman party and started with her Europa book and I LOVE it. I’m afraid to color in it-that I might ruin it. But hey, I can always order another one and start over if I need to. So I dove in!

FWIW in Australia that pencil sharpener is branded OfficeGoods for $53.86AUD in black. Gold more expensive but silver cheaper still. Perhaps look up Amazon in your respective country under that name, looks excellent Claire as it’s power as well as battery driven it stated.🤗🌹
