    So there were (2) 12mm bolts keeping it down plus the 14mm bolt on the pulley/tensioner?
    So you need to unscrew 3 bolts total?

    Hey Timmy, not related to the video but thought some viewers might have the same question. My son got me thinking... dangerous I know. But I always fill my tires to about 10psi below max cold psi printed on tire. I never look on door panel. So my son says, his door panel on Yukon xl 1/2 ton, says 35psi. He has after market tires that are rated to max 80psi cold. So obviously quite a difference. Tires maybe for a 3/4 ton I am thinking. But what’s your take on say filling to 10psi less then max on tire. I feel door panel only good for original tires. Am I way off base?

    • @OnlineAutoRepairVideos
      @OnlineAutoRepairVideos  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      HEY BOB!! you said one word that sums it all up, "MAX"!! Which I'm going to interpret as "If you go beyond that point, there is a good chance this tire is going to EXPLODE"!
      So, being the chicken I am when it comes to tires blowing up, 10psi BELOW the max is perfect, lol!

    • @rltkktlr
      @rltkktlr 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Timmy I agree totally! But at the other end of the spectrum under inflated can cause blow outs. I think it was ford that had some lawsuits due to blowouts. I think ford was caught trying to run lower psi to improve rides. Could be wrong. But where is the sweet spot I wonder. Something less then max. But the tire manufacturers don’t list a min but feel they should. But then there is the placard on the door panel to muddy the waters.

    • @OnlineAutoRepairVideos
      @OnlineAutoRepairVideos  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@rltkktlr That's a good point Bob, they should list a minimum. Also, under inflated tires wear faster on the edges. So pretty much what you said is the crucial factor, WHAT IS THE MINIMUM?

    I have a 03 Honda Accord just like urs my is making a rough clapping noise is it the tensioner or the pulley ?

    • @OnlineAutoRepairVideos
      @OnlineAutoRepairVideos  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      If you can do a video on the noise, and then place it on your channel, we might be able to pinpoint what's making the noise.

  • @crystrezerex2life

    So my tensioner completely fell off while driving, and and the main bolt from the idler pulley broke off in the engine block....any idea as to why that happened?

    I have a 2007 Honda Accord LX. My question is why didn't you let us (the viewers ) hear the noise of; this squealing noise on this car? My car doesn't make a squealing noise it makes a racket noise. Now I would like to talk to the guy in this video please.

    • @OnlineAutoRepairVideos
      @OnlineAutoRepairVideos  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Your noise may NOT be the pulley, but the water pump.

    • @joeking6010
      @joeking6010 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@OnlineAutoRepairVideos it's the spring in the tensioner

    • @OnlineAutoRepairVideos
      @OnlineAutoRepairVideos  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@joeking6010 I think the confusion here is the definition, and the title. Our noise was a "squealing", not a rattle, which we state in the title. Complete different sounds.

    Hello. Car making a whining noise. I thought it was the power steering pump I replace it and it still making the noise. Replace alternator as well. Could it be the tensioner puller that’s making the whining noise?

    • @OnlineAutoRepairVideos
      @OnlineAutoRepairVideos  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      it's possible. The best way to try and figure it out, is by using a long screwdriver or hose. Place one end to your ear, and the other end to a part you may think is making the noise. When you hear that noise through the hose or screwdriver, you have found it. Hope this helps!

      Astral Auto Repairs yea it looks about the same i tried taking the bolt holding idler pully out and it was heating the frame. i wasn’t sure if there’s more bolts, and wasn’t sure if it was actually a one assembly or two different pullies on their own. maybe tomorrow i’ll fee around see if i find the 12 bolt but kinda nervous don’t want to start taking off wrong bolts.
