It's where the movie "Somewhere in Time" was filmed, starring Christopher Reeves and Jane Seymour. It's the only island that does not allow motorized vehicles on. It is located off of the Great Lakes.
My Grandma was given that “I Love Grandma” mug by me on my 1st Christmas in 1976! She drank out of it each morning until she passed in 2005. Beautiful memory seeing it on your video!
Same here ,I'm from a small town where we don't have much....I have to go to San Antonio to actually find some good stuff because Corpus Christi isn't that good ither .
10000 Villages is usually nice stuff. The organization supports local artisans from all sorts of countries. They had some stores and some popup places too.
They are an amazing organization! Completely committed to fair trade and reinvesting in the communities of artisans they purchase from. Beautiful, high quality stuff from around the world. Love them!
As a Canadian, we actually call them some very unsavory names. They're an aggressive, overpopulated plague with excessive waste product that attack people and take over waterways beaches, greenland, and wherever they like. But yes, technically singular and plural names😁
Canada goose (plural is Canada geese) is the name of a specific species of goose as seen on that vase. Canadian geese describes all the different species of geese that live, full or part time, in Canada. Not all Canada geese live in Canada. Some migrate to Alaska or other northern regions from the south and never see Canada at all (poor things)!
As soon as I get home, I slide down on my tablet notices and see you there, ah, you keep me sane and I thank you for it. Always fun and good shopping. Bless you.
The angels made me smile. They used to pop up in every German household during Christmas time when I was a kid. I believe they are calle Jullar and a company called Singer made them. 🥰
Congratulations on your new addition!! What a change she will bring, but nice to know she'll be in a wildly interesting, loving ❤️ family. Prayers 🙏 for your continued health, happiness and strength. 💓
The lucite with the yellow flower was a eye glass holder. I have one with a red rose. They are vintage. You should have picked it up also the Florida plate.
First time making it to the first one in the comments lol the little things that make me happy lol. So I just wanted to say Thank you so much. I have learned a ton from you. You are your family are so sweet. Finally me and my mom love watching your vids and following you 💜
I love the way you do the videos now. We get to see the piece and the cost then you put the sell for price upper left corner. Genius! We get to see more items this way. God bless
I like seeing these older videos. See what you were buying then compared to now. As a beginner, I’m trying to stick with inexpensive finds until I have some experience behind me.
Want to thank you for taking time out of your busy day to put up estimated selling prices. It's great for us newbies that are just learning. Thank you again.
I got a couple of those candles with rings in the past, I would just chip at the candle/wax to get to the ring. Different value of candles got you better rings, if I remember correctly. I'm allergic to perfume unfortunately, but I still wanted the "prize", like the crackerjack boxes from the past, so that was my solution to some fun finds without triggering a reaction. Lol. I did get some nice ones, luckily.
Love the Rainbow Bank, Consolidated glass, dolphins, red clear vase, Owl mug, love the Roly poly glass😍💜😍. “Jocelyn I poked with my finger a gel candle. Very strange feeling.”😄
I’m still very impressed by your Goodwills…mine are so bleak. But it might be for the best since I would be seriously broke if they were like the stores you have to shop. 🤷🏻♀️🤣
I loved that Noah's Ark! Wish it wasn't damaged. I decorated my oldest son's nursery (33 years ago) in a Noah's Ark theme. I had a local wood worker make me a custom Ark with all of the animals because I couldn't find an Ark anywhere else. I also had him make me an Noah's Ark puzzle that doubled as wall art:) I hope you are having a better day today! xo
My 26 year old sons nursery was Noah’s ark too! Last year I was out thrifting and saw the same Animal Crackers Noah’s ark crib set he had. I stood there and stared at it for so long lol.
I did a loose Noah’s Ark theme in my now almost-7yo’s nursery. I bought a Wade ceramic Noah’s Ark & populated it with the Wade animals my aunt had collected for me from Red Rose Tea. My mom also made me a Noah’s Ark replete with Noah & his wife & a cast of adorable animals out of plastic canvas long before my son was conceived. She unfortunately passed before I was even married.
I made a large wooden boat with holes in it and had beanie babies sticking out, my son loved it, this was over 20 years ago. But also had to do one for a silent auction for Kindervelt which is a local charity for our Children’s hospital. We made a lot of $ on that. That resin was so cool, I would have grabbed it and and tried to get it fixed. Hope you are feeling well!
@@budgles I am sorry your mom passed before you were married, or had your 1st child. How wonderful you had a part of her & your aunt in your child's nursery though. Noah's Ark represents hope to me, so I always thought it was a great nursery theme idea. Take care!
You are so fortunate to have the stores near you. We have absolutely nothing that is worth purchasing in Palm Bay, FL. I have just started looking for pieces to fill up my new home.
That purple/lilac glass vase might have been alexandrite glass (I'm sure different glass manufacturers use different names). I was a hot glass artist with effetre/moretti (Italian) glass for 20 years, and that glass would change hues (red violet vs. blue) depending on whether it was viewed under florescent lighting or natural sunlight. I notice that it looks different in this video and in the photos for your sold listing, so it probably is. It doesn't change the value much, but it is a neat detail to point out to buyers.
I truly truly love your attempt at Mackinac Island, as a Michigander I feel as though I should inform you that it's Mack-in-naw. 😊 Happy treasure hunting!!
I'm so happy for you and Andrew.. Is Andrew excited? Sorry about the house deal. That one wasn't meant for you...there is a better one coming.. you have become more mellow. Enjoying your videos. Like them longer tho...
I live in Louisiana and our Goodwill’s definitely do not have these type of items. Just a lot of clothes, shoes and some old furniture. Love watching these kinds of videos!! 💛🌺☀️🦋
I am really surprised you find anything cause there are so many you tubers that sell on ebay and record from same goodwill. I am glad it seems you find the best stuff!!! I am glad. Love watching. Thank you for keeping us all excited about shopping for our stores! Crazy about you guys! As far as the house not working out... I have found with age that the things that did not pan out for me were because it was not meant to be or ...in the long run.... was not what was the best plan for me! Everything happens for a reason my friend. Keep the faith. It will all make sense down the road. You will be ok.
At 1:08 you were putting the broken little vase back. Just so you know that little tiny cup to the right with an embossed weave pattern and dark red glaze star and swirl accents is a vintage Longerberger pottery piece. It cost a fortune to get that set back in the day.
so funny when you were like "those shakers were definitely not there the first time" and you were looking at something right next to them the whole time in the previous clip
Beswick is pronounced bez-ick 😁 Love your videos! I live vicariously through you because our goodwill is tiny & rarely has anything worth picking up, let alone buying. 😢
I went to a Goodwill looking for and old, used coffee mug from a diner. I just wanted that heavy, dense smaller size. Nope. Barely anything on the shelf. Lots more expensive, too.
I had commented about the Bosson chalk ware heads and sent links, but I think it was deleted? Anyway they are collectible if the are marked “Bosson, Congleton England “ on the back. We have about 75 of them! They are super cool and not creepy! Lol
Frame 1:10 Jos. What are you thinking ? You didn't pickup the Glass Bottle Stopper ! Your always needing a stopper for those Beautiful Decanters you find !
As always you amaze me, even when it’s slim pickings you are able to find treasures. How you can calculate on the spot how much you will have to pay shippers and listing fees, to know if you will make money on an item is very impressive. Thanks for another fun video and I love that your putting the estimation of what an item will sell for on the screen. That is super helpful
Shipping is separate. It's too risky for most sellers to include shipping now because its gotten so expensive. The price she gives is just for the item.
anything you see that has from Germany or made in England is pretty valuable and you should look it up on what is selling for. Also, anything vintage sells really well.

Mackinac island is pronounced Mac in awe.
It's in northern Michigan and absolutely beautiful.

Wouldn’t it be a Canadian goose? Grew up next to Windsor. Never heard Canada Goose but then I don’t get out much lol
I love how you put things together that are separated or put cute things up front so someone can come by and give it a nice home.
The lucite thing was a eye glass holder.
The sharpie comes off with perfume!
As an artist I’ve used them all the time!
The best way is perfume. 💖💖💖
Good to know. Thanks for the tip
I always use alcohol for sharpie or ink
Hand sanitizer too
Perfume is full alcohol. U can just use alcohol & not waste your expensive perfume 😊

Same! And ‘organise’ all the items - would be fab to do
It was absolutely fun volunteering at Salvation Army, organizing the shelves 🤗🤗🤗
Mac-i-naw Island. It's in Michigan and is beautiful. No cars allowed
You are encouraging me to look a lot more thoroughly at the breakables I pick up. I usually wait until I get home to find the cracks. Hahahaha

Those green stripe salt & pepper shakers WERE there the first time…haha…I wondered why you passed them by! But glad you got them! :)
I noticed that, too.
Yes!! Next to the turtle! 4:50 I noticed that too!
Yes and the green plate underneath was there too. Must hard to see while filming also.

The white piece of wood with the attached silver ladle is actually made to hold a candle.
