Te Rarawa descendants of Te Tao Mauī are people of the sea. But few speak te reo Māori. This Waka Huia episode follows a wānanga in Mitimiti called Te Reo o te Moana. Where Te Tao Maui and Hokianga experts utilise their fishing traditions so that their way of life with tangaroa, language and customs are preversed for generations to come.
