I remember the good old days with Yolo, Coco, labelling just a bunch of categories, only jpegs either really low frame rates of CCTV cam for applying object detectiong, segmentation, labelling and everything. So much automated improvement in a tiny piece of hardware!

Could I use this to get some automated data from my kids handball matches? 7-8 players aside plus a ref. Ideally also recognize hand signals from the ref. But tracking scoring and by which player along with assists is the dream, and maybe even use the data to control video output from a different camera
Would love anything that could get me started on any of it

Imagine the low IQ required to believe AI exists

AI literally means artificial intelligence, as in, having a machine do tasks that usually requires a human level intelligence. Understanding what an image depicts is AI, playing chess is AI, creating new recipes is AI, removing a background from a picture is AI.
Of course AI is an overused umbrella term that can mean a lot or close to nothing, but it's not something that can be believed or not, it just exists. You are probably thinking about AGI, but I don't think you deserve any more explanations since you made a fool of yourself in less than 10 words

You're denying what everyone else just saw with their own eyes.
