Machine certainly gets rode hard. Holds up well. Nice review! I run EBC Severe Duty copper pads on my machine, almost 3K on those pads. Have you tried them? 300 km seems really low
I think the last ones I tried were called "rokhard" and were full metallic. definitely worked BETTER than the last ones but its also winter so hard to tell if I got more life just simply from running in snow.
the regular xt has a bit more "fun factor" if your running it by yourself (no double riding) as the front end gets light and you can water wheelie it etc. if im riding by myself I do wish I had a single seater from time to time. the other benefit is the guys I ride with who run smaller wheelbase machines won't have the stability hillclimbing. so its a bit of give and take. id say if your riding by yourself 90% of the time get a regular xt. if a passenger is coming often grab a max and you won't even know they are there

contemplating buying a new 650 max XT and wondering how the handling compares to the regular XT. Thx
