When you increase your parts of line by adding a snatch block, you also increase your winch line capacity too. So if its rated for 5k single line pull add a snatch block and now youve got 10k of line pull, make sure your snatch is rated for the pulling power too, though.

You should carry a snatch block always
And a sledgehammer and a pointy tree pound it in the skeg all the way down at least a 6 ft or better it will work sometimes
driving slow to not spin a wheel when trying to float across skeg
IF THERES A WILL THERES A WAY
Great video and lessons learned especially not to ride alone in swampy area
Just giving you a hard time lol!!
    😂😂

No argument there. A post pounder may have worked but without the snatch I'm thinking we wouldn't have made it very far. Oh well live and learn I guess

Yeah been there done that. Had to leave my OG Mav out in the bush over night. But I had to work the next day so I couldn't get to it till after 18:00 the next day. And I had friends to come help as well.

K brother, so happy you made it out and with the fiancée... You mentioned Alberta OHV as a point on contact if in trouble... Is this your contacts or is this a general contact reach out?? I ask as My dad and I or My wife, daughter and I do alot of solo riding... Stucks and breakdowns are the reality... If there is a general contact line please let me know... I would love be a part of it... again great video ... Keep it up brother!!

Alberta ohv riders is a community of off-roaders. they have a Facebook page and have been a great community to be a part of. I don't use them as a general rescue service (there is a group called Alberta 4x4 recoveries that does this) they are a great resource to meet new people and get out to adventure together.
