  • We've all heard a lot of crazy things about owning a dumpster business...
    "Its easy money!"
    "You can make $50K a month... as a side hustle!"
    "You can make $20K just renting out your trailer!"
    In this video I go over what it actually takes to run a profitable dumpster business and a few things we do to try and maximize being successful.

    Being diversified is a big factor in making it in any business. Doing different aspects of work but that involved using the same base equipment It's key. My main business is tree care and landscaping And we also do junk removal And complete property cleanups.

      You are absolutely spot on 🎯! I love the idea of junk removal and complete property cleanups for a tree & landscape company. Thanks for sharing how your company diversified - but complimented your main business. Best of luck this year my friend snd Thanks for watching.

    I added bulk potable water delivery to my services. I had a hooklift flatbed made and slapped a 2000 gallon poly tank on and got a PWSID and now I’m hauling water just as much as my dumpsters. I’m in Colorado and a lot of peoples wells in the mountains are running dry so it’s an incredibly lucrative market. Having a hooklift really means you can do pretty much anything.

      Smart! I love guys who find niche markets. "There's riches in the niches". Thanks for watching.

    If you want to make money in a dumpster rental buisness, own other buisness. The example on how to stand out and get you dumpster rented was that you were there dropping off you dumpster already.

    I would love to hear you talk about leverage, your philosophy around how you look at leverage/debt finances. It looks like you are a newer company ( like myself ) and I see the huge investment you have made in equipment, just wonder how you did it? Love your videos and work ethic, great taste in equipment. Best of luck to you in 2023.

    You have the best info out there on the dumpster rental business… thank you! I’m in the Phoenix, AZ anrea and just got the business set up from a legal standpoint and now need to start getting equipment. Is it possible to set up a consult call with you? I’m looking for insights on equipment and also maybe finding a partner for the business.

    This is a great video with a super smart message. Are you playing a commodity game or are you playing a value added game?

    This is how I overcome the lack of population in my area. The largest town in my service area (30-40miles) is less than 20,000. I have converted several simple rentals into a larger job that I never would have taken on without the tractor.

    • @samedaydumpster
      @samedaydumpster  9 หลายเดือนก่อน

      It's math or rather a "numbers game" You'll need to increase and continually increase your service size area until you get the population size you want / need to support your business. There's no cheating or getting around that. It's very simply put, a numbers calculation. Thanks for taking the time to watch.

    love the videos. been renting dumpsters for almost a year now in texas and it’s going great. really wanting to get a skid steer and mini ex soon.. what brand skid steer should i look at?

    • @samedaydumpster
      @samedaydumpster  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Congrats on the early success in renting dumpsters brother, That’s great to hear! As far as skid steers… here’s my advice: Buy the brand that has the best dealer for support and parts in your immediate area. You’ll need their help more than you realize. Doesn’t matter is it’s CAT, or Deere or Bobcat or anyone else for that matter. The dealer support is the most important factor when purchasing. IMO

      There's def times when you can create your own work and keep dumpsters busy. It's been an extremely good addition to my business.

    What do u think about junk removal services.

    • @samedaydumpster
      @samedaydumpster  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I think it’s a great industry if it fits your personality. I don’t offer junk removal and don’t have any plans to pivot towards it anytime soon. But I firmly believe there’s good money to be made if someone approaches it correctly. Great question… Thanks for watching.
