Trying Touhou on an old Harpsichord

♫ I finally managed to find an actual full sized harpsichord I could try out. This one was standing in the same room with the Yamaha grand and I had about 10 minutes to quickly play something and wrap everything up before I had to leave the room hence the hasty fast pased mess. I did not know what to play at all in the moment I just sort of did this UN Owen Was Her-esc thing. It's quite a bit detuned.

It's rather hard to play on this thing if you're used to playing on a normal piano. Since the harpsichord has plectrums rather than hammers you can not softly hit any key. There is almost no range in velocity. This means I have to press through really hard or else the plectrum just gets stuck on the string and there is no sound. You can hear I miss multiple keys this was because I am not used to playing on these at all and had literally no time to get used to the thing.

Hopefully I can play on one of these some time again witha bit more practise. It'd be interesting. My own spinet harpsichord is still awaiting extremely expensive repair but I hope to get the thing fixed somewhere within the upcoming months. For now enjoy this mess haha

Sounds pretty good! I like the sound visualization effect ontop of the harpsichord. Can I ask why you're showing the waveform instead of the wavelet transform, though? I feel like being able to see the amplitudes of the different frequencies would be more meaningful.
