Genos arm being detachable really shows his growth/experience.
In most of his fights the monsters ripped of his limbs, which reduced his firepower and movement.
Him using this experience and letting Garou "take" the arm, to turn it around with a suprise attack is done well.
Considering it has happened dozens of times, it very well could've been Kuseno's idea lol

Yeah it was way better animated in the manga and made much more clear what he was doing. This is just they didn't have anyone who was good at animating hair being scrambled and changing color so they did what Hollywood does and jump-cut. :(

Garou quite literally picked a fight with a drunk top tier a class....then proceeds to say if he wasnt drunk he wouldve preformed better. Garou also attacked a preoccupied Metal Bat. Sure in theory the worst possible time to fight him but still. Ill never get the people saying garou getting jumped is unfair like he wasnt doing that to some heroes this entire season😭

@milkman6771 everyone was weaker though. But he keeps getting bailed out. Bailed out cause he left Q city otherwise Watchdogman wouldve killed him. Bailed put by Zenko since Metal Bat wouldve killed him. And bailed out by fighting Spring Mustachio since he was holding back. Not saying he shouldve lost but death gatlings group were also specfically not trying to kill him until he started knocking members out.

I believe Garou is classified as an "anti-villain". So he has noble goals/ideals, but his actions in pursuit of those lead him to be the villain of the story. Basically the inverse of the anti-hero, who lacks noble or heroic traits but acts as the protagonist.
Actually I think what you described is an anti-hero, someone with good goals but questionable/bad methods to reach that goal. Anti-villain would be the opposite, someone with evil goals? But with correct methods to achieve them? Something like that.
Garou I think is mostly a villain since his objective is to be a symbol of fear and he's gonna crush all the heroes to do that, it's just that he has a soft spot for kids, that's why we don't see him being that evil.
Edit: searching more about the anti-villain concept, I think Garou fits in that description, so I think you're right.

Garou is NOT evil, what he wants is justice for those that is getting bullied, and when he was a kid, monsters was always getting bullied by heroes, and the became real life when they were playing heroes and monsters as a kid and he carried that to adulthood until now, but all he really wants is to stop the discrimination from those getting bullied, which is the monsters in his perspective

Y’all got to understand Garou gets stronger as he fights and takes damage. His last 2 fights show that when he’s at his limit he seems to muster up more energy. Also the reason for why people have certain powers is much deeper than you think. Anime balls deep has a video on this but I forgot the title.

I love how this show makes Garou as a villain goes through the classic Anime trope of the hero doing his "last stand" & making an epic comeback; meanwhile Saitama is the flip on the Hero trope, where he's already at the top, and is unbeatable. This show may have alot of comedy, but don't sleep on the serious writing it has.
Garou is one of the greatest anime antagonists ever. Can’t wait for next season.

That’s also the whole point. Garou identifies with a monster (Crab Demon) who fought against all odds even when outnumbered at the beginning of the episode. And the way he’s portrayed makes the viewer do the same with him.

The way I see Garou is that he saw a lot of monsters being killed just for being monsters, heroes only caring about ranks or making money out of it. At the same time he wants to be stronger to not only being the strongest but as if he wanted to change this way of "heroes" (a little bit like Stain from "Boku no Hero"). The thing is his actions are like of an anti-hero in a way that he does the "right thing" in a "wrong moral" way which ends up prejudicing "good heroes" in the path :/
And Saitama doesnt kill monsters simply bc they're monsters.

Garou is an antivillain. Also, this anime season misses a bunch of amazing details in the Manga. I highly recommend you guys check out at least these chapters in the manga.
For example Garou blocking the death shower was so amazing and beautiful in the Manga. It truly felt like such an important moment for Garou, but in the anime it was super quick and it didn’t even look like Garou was struggling.
And the manga shows his hands were completely bloodied from blocking the bullets, so we can figure out why Garou’s hair turned red when he ruffled it up, but the anime just skips that and just randomly switches to red. And it also skips a quick but super awesome moment in the manga that won’t be shown in the next episode.

Just to clue you in on garu and him changing. He goes thru evolutions of change in each fight as his body adapts to become stronger with each fight. He is changing into other forms of Garu and becoming stronger. But not to give it all away in the Manga he eventually becomes God garu

I would really like it if you all do a series for sword art online. It has lots of similarities with solo leveling too. It is hated on alot but I really love it. I would put it up alongside aot in terms of enjoyabillity (just my personel opinion so please don't start hating in me now😅❤). Its just a really good show with amazing characters and a great story. It does need a few episodes to really start so be aware of that too (its only like 2 or 3)

Its a term that basically came up thanks to Marvel. But if you look at it subjectively as "anti" and then "hero"... again wouldn't call cops or our army that right? they kill bad guys every day and just get called "heroes"
Garou hunts heroes, and he probably has hurt many innocent ones. But as the show clearly depicts, the "hero's" of this show are more like "The Boys", and the 7. Some real crap people who happen to have powers. So that's where its very different. Unless you mean the comic's where deadpool kills everyone but that's a 1-off.
