When my mind is stressed and I don't know what to do, I'll watch your videos and calm down. They make me peacefull and... I learn something! My imagination runs free and I step into your art! Thank you Lisa!💋
Another absolutely gorgeous scene Lisa... love those new paints but hopefully mine will suffice! Love that little Hobbit home as well... on my wish list! You are a wonderful artist there is no doubt and I look forward to more 😊❤
Ahh! Lisa I have sat transfixed watching this 🎉. Watching your tutorials has helped me take my crafting to another level, but this is a completely different level again. With using mainly watercolour which is so fluid and unforgiving. Watching you it's like you're composing a symphony which I don't think I would ever be able to do but thank you xx
Oh wow. Thoroughly enjoyed this. So calming & relaxing watching you create your masterpieces. Just need to find my courage & finish what ive started. Thank you Lisa💚
Bonjour 😊 une création une fois de plus magnifique 😍 j’adore 🥰 vous regarder car cela me transporte dans un monde merveilleux à chaque vidéo et pour cela je vous remercie infiniment merci merci merci 🫶
What can I say Lisa, this is just stunning!!! I have all the stamps and will definitely give this a go as I love mixed media too and this one is just perfect. Thank you again so much for firing our imaginations. Take care and a Happy Easter to you and yours. Sandy ❤
Amazing 👏 as usual 😊 would love to see a studio tour on how you store all your stamps and art supplies one day 😊❤ you have so many I always struggle with storing them so they don't get buried and never used!!! 😅❤
WOW, superb Lisa. As always your talent amazes me and I love watching your videos. I've not been around for a while due to my daughter having ovarian cancer, she's had major surgery 8 days ago and is leaving hospital today, however she needs 3 more rounds of chemo to make sure they have removed it all. So it's been a very stressful time for me and her family. However, watching you videos helps calm me and makes me less stressful and able to soldier on. Thank you for your inspiration xxx🤗❤
Oh Pauline what a worry you all must have! So sorry to hear that. I wish her a full recovery and thank you for your kind comment. Take care of yourself .🙏❤️
You can do it! Don’t be disheartened. Every creation is unique and beautiful! Remember I have many years of experience making mistakes and each piece I create takes many hours. Be kind to yourselve and see what happens. It’s a journey!😊🙏❤️
When it stops raining here, I'm going for a walk with my dog along that path and into the misty woods, and maybe stop for second breakfast at the hobbit house on the way back.😊
I came across you yesterday and love what you are doing!! I cant draw but have been learning watercolour painting. I have loads of stamps but am wondering can i use my watercolour paint to ink my stamps and where can I get the stamps you use please
I think it is more effective to use ink pads with the stamps. If you use water based ink you can’t lightly spritz the stamps and you will get a water colour look. Also sometimes I use the technique where I stamp in white gesso. You can mix your watercolour colours in the gesso, flatten it out and lightly stamp using that. See my video ‘Hello snow’ for this technique. I have put all the links you need In the description box below the video- Lavinia stamps website along with their ink pads and other items etc. look for the word ‘more’ under the video.I hope that helps and you enjoy your new creative adventure. Welcome!🙏❤️
Lisa, can I ask you for some advice? Im about to get some supplies and were wondering about what inks to get. I want some versafine Of course to make crisp and permanent stampings. But as I like to use Watercolor, would it be better to Focus on more colors in versafine clair before other inks, or do you think elements inks are really something I should get too? And what do you think of the New paler colors of the versafine clair, are they useful or will they be to pale to get any use of? Im very restricted finacially, but have a voucher to use, so want to try to get the materials that I have the most use of.
Hi, I definitely recommend getting a few dark colours in versafine Claire - blue, green, brown and black. I also like chianti which is a dark red. I haven’t used the new paler colours yet. I’m waiting on them to arrive . I’ll do a video using them and let you know . They look useful. You should also get your favourite colours in elements they are very versatile and can be used as watercolours and lots of stamping techniques.I love the elements ink pads. A few pale colours in distress oxide are also useful. I hope that helps. You will love them all! ☺️❤️
Thank you Lisa! 🙏💗 Then Ill wait for your Video with the New versafinecolors before making any decissions 😊💗 Think I will have another look of your previous Videos again, to try to imagine what I would want to use the different kind of materials for. Having such a heavy brain fatigue so I feel stuck most of the time, already before I even start. But watching your videos always inspire 😊💗🙏
I was wondering if you ever have the problem I am facing. When you start using your soft pastel pencil [around 26 minutes into the video] it looks so easy, but when I try to do it, it is like using a wooden toothpick. I only make indents in the watercolour card. I have the 24 pastels van Gogh pencils. They work well on a normal sheet of printer paper, but onto of the lays of my Kuretake gansai tambi watercolour (the same as you normally use, although not here). But here it is like the point becomes hard and will not make a line. Have you experienced that? What do you do?
My pieces take many hours to create. The paints must be totally dry before using the pencils. I don’t always show the drying in between the layers due to time pressures of the video length. If however the pencils don’t show up. (It happens occasionally ) I use my pastel sticks which are extra soft. I hope this helps. Just take your time. ☺️
Thank you. I will be more patient with the drying :-D It really feels like a tooth pick against sandpaper :-D I really love trying to recreate your stunning projects - alone or with my friend Tine. Happy Easter.
I like both and sometimes use cold press. However hot press has a smooth surface and is less problematic for stamping. Also the Lavinia stamps hot pressed card works really well with both wet and dry mediums and I’ve found it to be a very reliable mixed media card.😊
What lyes behind the door. Well you see these 2 rabbits are on there way to work. Because behind the door they work in the tinfoil department wrapping Easter eggs. For the Easter bunny 🐰 can deliver them ❤
