- Kevin Sanjaya Sukamuljo (born 2 August 1995) is an Indonesian badminton player who was formerly ranked world number 1 in the men's doubles by the Badminton World Federation. He plays for PB Djarum, and has been a member of the club since 2007. He won the men's doubles titles at the All England Open in 2017 and 2018; World Superseries Finals in 2017; and at the Asian Games in 2018. He also featured in the Indonesia winning team at the SEA Games in 2015; Asia Team Championships in 2018 and 2020; and at the Thomas Cup in 2020. Together with his current partner, Marcus Fernaldi Gideon, they were awarded the BWF Best Male Players of the Year for two years in a row after collecting seven Superseries titles in 2017 and eight World Tour titles in 2018.

And Fajar Alfian used this technique during All England 2024. My feeling is that Kevin is already transferred his secret weapon to all Indonesian double men members. I can see that for Bagas/Fikri too as they are able to beat Reddy/Shetty in two sets. Unlike Kevin, this technique has a consequence, it will drain the energy really fast. This is also the reason why Bagas/Fikri left All England after they beat the Indian pair.
I think Reddy/Shetty (Current World No.1) lost because Reddy wasn't 100% fit and as you have seen Reddy's shoulder was heavily strapped during the match. See Shi Yuqi and Akane Yamaguchi retired from All England Matches due to Fitness issues and were finalists last week at the French Open; not to forget even An Se-young Struggled. Back-to-back highly competitive tournaments like this with traveling is not possible for players to get 100% recovery in both cases Physically as well as Mentally. #BWF needs to understand this "Players are Humans, not Machines." There must be atleast minimum 1 week gap between such high level tournaments.

Lol😂 Reddy was literally just a teenager when he faced minions right now they improvd a lot compared to what they were once, chirags net play improvd a lot. Fikri and moulana is spontaneous and hard to read that's why they struggled all England is prestigious but Indians played 4 tournaments and played final in three of them all England was a bit too early, he was a mentioned heavily strapped. It might been a factor maybe you are a newbie because even an se young and axelsen struggles in back to back tournament. e@@IndonesianModelAI

Gideon actually the man who makes Kevin play all out without hesitation. Without Gideon, Kevin a normal front court player. Same to Gideon, they are meant to play together 😢
@@samlim719 I think to say Kevin is a normal front court player is a wrong statement. He is definitely one of the best front court players, he is fast, technical, and very talented. Too bad Gideon got injured and never recovered his best form. I think Kevin marrying one of the Indonesian riches' daughter affect his passion toward badminton as well. He could make more money doing business than playing badminton now.

1) Catatan waktu rank 1 dunia mereka yg terdata di BWF itu tidak menghitung yg dibekukan dan mereka TETAP jadi MD terlama di rank 1 dunia walau selama break covid tidak masuk hitungan.
2) Mereka banyak gelar sebelum covid dan tiba-tiba jadi jarang juara justru karena momentum bagus mereka RUSAK karena long break/no competition sepanjang covid. Tiba2 jd tidak ada latihan, tidak ada kompetisi untuk waktu yg lama, pasti semua hal termasuk ritme main mereka berubah. Sekalinya kompetisi dimulai lagi, Kevin kena positif covid jadi berbulan-bulan gak bisa kompetisi lagi. Semua yg terjadi ada penjelasan secara teknis dan non-teknis, jangan diinterpretasi secara ngasal.

Saya pun juga paham sistem perhitungan poin seperti yg mas jelasin, tapi itu memang sistem perhitungan yg sesuai regulasi, diterapkan dari generasi ke generasi. Jelas dong yg punya banyak tabungan poin akan diuntungkan. Masa pemain yg baru juara 1-2x langsung mau overtake posisi rank 1 dari yg udah bertahan lama dan punya banyak tabungan poin?
Sekarang gini deh, yg juara di era saat ini kan ganti-gantian, gak ada yg mendominasi. Dan bilang "rank 1 mereka terlama kebantu break covid/rank yg dibekukan" itu adalah contoh kelakuan "party pooper" yg hobi men-discredit pencapaian orang dan itu termasuk perbuatan yg disrespectful.
Apapun pendapat pribadi mas yg kayaknya gak suka banget orang apresiasi prestasi minions, harusnya buka mata lebar2 dulu kalau BWF sebagai federasi dunia aja udah kasih acknowledgement/pengakuan ke Minions bahwa mereka adalah Game Changer. Gak semua pemain, gak banyak pemain punya power buat jadi Game Changer. Itu udah honor/kebanggaan yg sangat tinggi buat Minions, apalagi terbukti mereka juga dihargai tinggi sama sponsornya, bahkan mereka lebih sejahtera dari banyak pemain yg juara major event.
Itu udah suatu bukti bahwa value Minions diakui sponsor, diakui BWF, diakui expert sekelas Gillian Clark, Steen Pedersen, Morten Frost, Paul Hand, Alan Wilkins, dll. Semua acknowledgement mereka ada jejak digitalnya dan ada buktinya.
Federasi dunia, sponsor, expert udah jelas-jelas ngasih apresiasi ke Minions, eh masa ada orang "biasa" yg gak punya background di bidangnya malah men-discredit pencapaian mereka.
Buat saya itu komedi. Tapi gak papa. Terserah mas. Mungkin masnya memang gak suka aja atau punya pemain favorit yg lain. Gak masalah. Mohon maaf kalau ada salah-salah kata🙏

Much greater players like Tony Gunawan, Chandra Wijaya, The Daddies, Ricky & Rexy are way better than him by a hundred miles and they are better sportsman than Kevin.
