Nice bright hotel the room was airy and very attractive, though suspect spillage don't think I'd be parking me posterior on the chair 🪑😂 Very spacious, ensuite could have been larger but clean and useable. Lovely large pool, plenty of user friendly aspects, agree the food did look limited and basic. Personally I think the price is stellar downright bostin' a great place perfect for those on a budget. I would love to visit Thailand, Pattaya looks so beautiful and the people lovely would like to experience the culture and learn about the spirituality. Thank you good sir 🧐 ⭐
Hi Paul, The hotels in Thailand are beautifully clean. Thought the price was very good, bit tight in the bathroom for me. Would have to have a larger room so I could get my chair in the bathroom. Nice bright room very reasonable. Thanks for the great videos Paul. Patricia.
Hi Paul yea liked the hotel. Room hmmmm! a bit tight.....the bathroom more so. Reminds me of a hotel I stayed at in Strasbourg in the 80s. Tiny...I kid you not. I could have sat on the loo, washed my hair in the sink and had a shower at the same time!😅 food what you said, but I could eat it. Cost not as good value as some of the other hotels you have reviewed. I would stay there no problem. Cheers Paul Loving this series❤
Think this hotel is aimed at Thais coming from Bangkok for the weekend and tour groups who only stay one night. Have been visiting Thailand 2 or 3 times a year for 20 years now and most if not all have torches in the wardrobe, probably in case of a power cut /fire evacuation. Safes are always free or if they don't have them in the room there will be a bank of safe boxes behind reception but this is not so common now. Rooms are usually ready before check in time during low season which is another advantage of visiting between 1st May and 31st October along with cheeper prices. Have only found proper sausage and bacon in 5 star hotels such as the Dusit Thani in Pattaya and the old one in Bangkok before it was demolished. Looking forward to the next hotel 👍🏻
I've walked past that hotel a few times, the rooms look fine , good central location, breakfast OK, did you really want a 'full english' in 33 degree heat ??
I would stay there, altho breakfast limited I'd be happy with cereal & toast or an omlette. Basic room like in the UK I'd say. Good they have fast wifi & also plugs for UK.. shame about the TV but if you have a laptop or tablet you could watch what you want including your videos :D
Hi Paul. Just noticed tonights vlog. You are spoiling us. Storage space much better in this one. What do you reckon the torches are for in the Thailand hotels ? . Are they prone to power cuts ?
Hi Paul, last visited Thailand 5 years ago, I used to go every winter for 2 months, perhaps around 8 times.the last time we started in Bangkok and called in places along the way by train, finished in chiang rai.only been to Pattaya once far too seedy for me!like everywhere in the world things change! But Thailand has changed drastically from the earlier years,I don’t think I would return but you never know?
Looks a very nice room and large enough. Pity no balcony, but you are trying to review budget options, and this is at a reasonably cheap price. Value for money.
Check in was 3 p.m. at the beginning and 2 p.m at the end of your review. But anyway this is what happens with chain hotels, they shrink room size, and you cannot book in midday. Breakfast was small, and they don't tell you that eggs are available. £47 is way over the top for Pattaya, but newbies like to go to places they know, same people will eat at Mcdonald and Subway, playing safe. I did like the hard and soft pillows, and the torch. New facilities to me. Opposite are bars I go in sometimes-good looking girls there. I used to see a lot of Indians at this hotel. Anyway, a good review, objective, and honest. Room safe combination 1234. So is that normal with Holiday Express Pattaya? If so, anyone can get in. Pattaya is good, no matter what the "outraged" scoff. You have just got to know where to go and avoid the western chains.
A helpful video again. By English standards the room price is ok but you showed a 4 star hotel on the same road for just £10 a night more. For that reason I would pay the extra. I have ms so cannot walk far. So would rely a lot on taxis I think
Try to video outside surround each hotel, we like to see if it;s close by 7-11 , bras..... restaurants ....... we wants to see location , not keep pointing at toilet and light switches and bed .... OK? Also let us know when is best weather to visit , and the price of hotel high and low season ! Pro and con of each one !
I think £47 is way too expensive. There are better options nearby for about half the price. Sunview Place next door is older but better value, or Golden Sea on the other side of the road (behind the old Nicky's restaurant). I would recommend Golden Sea - approx £20 to £25 a night in low season.
To be honest, I would stay here rather than the 4* hotel you stayed at in a previous vlog, the one with no wardrobe space. That would drive me bonkers especially if I was staying for more than a night. Again interior designers going for image rather than practical solutions.
I stayed rhier during covid on news years eve I had to enter through the back door I got locked in my room and was told no alcohol I tried to get peoples attention from my balcony to get me some beer I was on the 1st floor and could have jumped and run to 7 11 but I would have hot deported if I got caught End results My covid test came back negative and I was released into the public at 8 am where my new years eve party started Just another covid story
You are showing us a good diverse selection of hotels in Thailand Paul

Thanks for the great videos Paul. Patricia.
Love the mural Paul at the back of your bed. Still nice for the price x
Loved the artwork behind the beds. Everything seemed lovely except the awful stains on the chair 🤢 Great content, Paul - as always xx
Great Paul thanks❤

Apparently its a thing most hotels do and they can be prone to power cuts
Ah right . Glad you haven’t experienced a power cut ( so far). Thank you for taking time to reply . Thanks again for entertaining us

To exspesive there are better hotel for the same price or less
Looks OK for a couple of nights Paul but no longer the grub was basic to say the least. Can't argue at the price though.
Way to expensive 😮

Yeah ok I'll make the video 5 hours long just for you if you don't like what I do watch someone else's channel and stop telling me how to run mine

No not staying in any gay hotels
Ok mate thanks for getting back hopefully see u soon
Odd question to ask.
@@lparky4409y you think that ?
@@lparky4409Struck dumb or just stuck for an answer?
Hi, can you put toilet paper down the toilet?
Yes
you really are staying at very overpriced hotels, there are far better options with balconies available in the 1000 to 1300 range
