Fantastic song! His voice sounds great. I liked Phil Collins vocals but this guy really brought his own special thing to the sound of the band
Fantastic great song!!! Who listen in 2020?💖
Yes fantastic song, in 2020 also!
Muy buena si
aye, june 2020 🇬🇧
July 2020 🇩🇪
@@schlarmi August 2020
Ridiculously underrated! Amazing vocals and track
rated enough dummy, please do not spread defeatism...
Two days ago I've been with my dad on Ray Wilson's concert in Kraków. He is a great vocalist! He Has power on his voice, real talent. And this is song of my childhood 😊
I'm just after concert in Wrocław!
Truly one of the best Songs of the 90s
tony banks' keyboard work is amizing on this song.
Was in a concert from Ray Wilson in August 23 in my hometown in🇩🇪, Congo was the opener. His voice and performance is great!
Tony and Mike knew why they bring Ray in this band after Phil leaving because he sounds like Peter Gabriel! Great Song!👌👌👌
must certainly be the first Congolese 🇨🇩 to hear this masterpiece! Why ?
This is still the feeling of the Congolese today, everything you express there 🫥🥲
It's true that Congo here is only a symbol of some distant "other end of the world", but it's nice you like it anyway 😉
An under-rated classic from Genesis, which had sadly often been ignored, as it came from the brief period of 1997-8, after Phil Collins had left. Forget their history for a moment & just enjoy the track, it's a great song! The drumming is great, Ray Wilson sings it well & one of my favourite Genesis tracks ever, along with "Land Of Confusion".
You are absolutely correct. I could not have expressed it better myself. Ray Wilson was born in 1967, around the time of the genesis of Genesis. ( Ha Ha ) . Please don't send me to the Congo. I might pick up the Ebola virus.
1996
This and L of C are you favorites? Better than Lamb Lies Down on Broadway? Or Fifth of Firth? Holy shit.
Bloody oath!
Music started to get bad after 2000; that's why, I only listen to music from the 70's, 80's to 99's. Oasis and Nickelbag were also fine in the late 90's.
I demand a HD video of this amazing song!
Hammergeiler Song!!! Ich liebe den heute noch ❤❤❤
One of the most underrated songs of all time
I love this song, great voice😃😃
Brilliant Transatlantic Top 30 hit single for Genesis reaching #29 in the UK and #25 in the US (Billboard Mainstream Rock Chart).
I know that when the band reformed for touring purposes it was under the Collin's era line-up but I would honestly love to hear a second Genesis album with Ray Wilson, because his era is massively different from the other two eras.
Gabriel - Avant garde, prog rock pieces with some great storytelling (Ie- The Music Box)
Collins - Much more commercial and accessible. A pop-rock sort of feel with the odd experimental track like 'Mama' infused in.
The Wilson era is a lot more loud and powerful rock. Its so different but still has that amazing Genesis feel there from Banks and Rutherford.
Ray Wilson's voice seems more with Peter Gabriel's voice than Phill Colins' voice.
Underrated album "Calling All Stations"
So beautiful number with Ray!
I love your voice Ray Wilson!! ♥️♥️♥️🤩👌
Love voice Ray Wilson.
The 90s forever in my heart
I never knew Ray Wilson of Stiltskin was (for a short period of time) lead singer of Genesis. You learn something new everyday.
Exactly! I fell in love with Ray's voice in high school, for me Ray is Stiltskin not Genesis.
I had the opportunity to sing with Ray about 3 years ago and that's what I told him, that he's a Stiltskin voice for me :) I love his voice! Spend about two days rehersing with him, such a nice human!
WOW FANTASTIC SONG!!!😊😊😊
An amazing song and vid. Genesis have always set the bar so high that this masterpiece seems to have slipped through the cracks. The singer is fantastic and gives the Genesis sound an added edge...
Never understood why they got rid of that vocalist. That was fresh sounding and never apart from letter and spirit of Genesis.
I saw this over 10 years ago. Still love this song!
It is a shame that this song and the whole album is so underrated
Best Genesis Vocal ever!
Best song from the Ray Wilson-era, but damn what a great song too.
I love this song very much
I had fun with Genesis in my youth, but with immense pleasure listening to it … great group 😅
I always
The vocal work in this song is quite amazing tbqh
The Ray Wilson era is THE BEST!!!!!!!!!!!
2019 anyone? :D
I love Ray and his voice.
always :)
hello from 2020
2020 here, such a great chorus, such a weak verse ... what a waste of a great idea!
You´re to late....
Great song, great vid, great voice and a great band.
If you put it together you'll get GENESIS!!!
Brilliant song. I think it's a pity this incarnation of Genesis wasn't really given a fair shout by fans. And I'm a die hard
The only one song I bought the album "Calling All Stations" for. Sadly it was the really single good one on the entire album.
@@riekerankeschmidt7046 how about the title track
@@Punttipate62agreed. The title track is stunning songwriting. Dark, and reflective. This iteration of Genesis definitely deserved more of a chance than they were given.
I remember watching this on VH1 back in 1997....
Coolest Keyboard Ever
still here 👍 don't know why it's only rarely heard, great Genesis song with a stirring Ray Wilson 🎶
Lyrics:
You say that I put chains on you
But I don't think that's really true
But if you want to be free from me
You gotta lose me in another world
Send me to the Congo I'm free to leave
There's always somewhere anybody can lead
Send me to the Congo you have to believe
You can do it if you wanna just do what you please
Like a soldier ant
I will wait for the signal to act
To take a walk right through the door
If you don't want me here any more
Send me to the Congo I'm free to leave
There's always somewhere anybody can lead
Send me to the Congo you have to believe
You can do it if you wanna just do what you please
Into my heart you came
And gave a whole new meaning to my life
Into my world you brought a light
I thought it never would go out
Send me to the Congo I'm free to leave
There's always somewhere anybody can lead
Send me to the Congo you have to believe
You can do it if you wanna just do what you please
You can send me to the Congo I'm free to leave
There's always somewhere anybody can lead
Yes you can send me to the Congo, you have to believe
You can do it if you wanna just do what you please
I would never be the one to say you had no reason
To want me somewhere else far far away
But someday you may understand, someday you will see
That someone who would die for you is all I've ever been
Congo the Congo, if that's how it's got to be
Congo the Congo, if that's what you want from me
I would never be the one to say you had no reason
To want me somewhere else far far away
Someday you may understand someday you will see
I really love this song a lot
perfect music and video....
yeah Awesome Song
Very good song from a very great album.
This is absolutly best of Genesis.
J'adore ce morceau, injustement méconnu. ❤❤❤
Genialna nuta 💖
Sorry Phil. You are one of the world best drummers. But this drummer is one i want to hear again.
"...Calling..." is one of the best albums ever. From Russia with love.
Très grand album ! Un chef-d’œuvre, un de plus
Great tune
I actually like this song, and Wilson's voice (and I'm a huuuuuge Phil Collins fan). I think they'd have had more success if they hadn't marketed this as Genesis, because it just isn't them. I do quite like it though.
Awesome music,Very Very good work. Thank you boys.😃🇨🇿🎸
Much better than every Kings Of Leon song!!! Why Genesis with Ray Wilson is so underestimated! This is one of the best rock track ever made!!!
This isn't original Genesis sound, but this is a good song.
Fantastic Song And Music
STILL love this song and still hearing it - now in 2016. Who else? :-)
Me brother. Great track.
yarrr!
Who else? All those who have the sense of quality.
Love this song 😍👍🏻
It is the worst Genesis album by some way, and they did some pretty mediocre ones after Wind and Wuthering.
Genesis is not Genesis without Peter Gabriel and Steve Hackett.
espectacular video y expectacular tema de los inmortales ¡¡ GENESIS¡¡
Super!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Not gonna lie, I am a big fan of Wilson. To bad Calling All Stations is so underrated.
Ray Wilson mieszka w Polsce od 10 lat
przyjedź do Polski na koncerty
una canción perfecta !!!!
I saw the vid on national TV, Rai, in 1997.🇮🇹On national news broadcast(TG=TELEGIORNALE, RAI PRON. AS RYE)
I was in concert today in Poland
it is not The "Genesis" of my youth, but it is genesis at all!! Tony Bank's music are unmistakable. of course I would like something near to Wind and wuthering or selling Enlgand by the pound, I hope a new album from Geneis yet, like the oldiers. may be this year? 2018? I will be waiting
This song is worth more vievs
Such a good song..
Amazing i love this song!!
Dommage qu'ils n'aient pas continuer tous les trois...
Ray Wilson NUMBER ONE! 👍
Also my dik is number one
So Genesis this song, first time I hear it. I can imagine Phil singing this one :) good vocalist Ray Wilson.
Tremendo temazo, por Dios! 🎶✌😍🎶
Super!!! (l from Russia Moscow 2020!!!
Misterioso Congo, África.
Mega Song ❤
Super Music!
It would be interesting to hear Collins singing this Song... :-)
Time reigns, but not kings.
2021...anyone?
great song, thx for remastering & upload
I love these song and I think it is underrated because Phil Collins isn't the leadsinger.... that is so sad...
the matrix vibes in this video tho
This is great
Best Genesis song ever!
Ryan Wilson:singer,Mike Rutherford:bass guitar,guitar,Tony Banks:keyboard,Nir Zydkiahu:drum.
It was a good album ahead of its time really, a new direction by Ray wilson at the time I liked it
Today as cool as by the time I saw the video premiere in the 1997.
👍🙏 great Voice Ray Wilson (Stiltskin)
this video is awsome!!! and i love Ray
Exelente tema!!! y que voz.....
The video shows well what human being can be.
Paramilitary feels.
I love it!
impecable cancion, me trae buenos recuerdos
A perfect song for Tarzan film
Still great, after all these years
Genesis Live At The Water Park!
I do like this song though.
Just GREAT! The video is EPIC!
