Could you do a dyno run with and without the stock airbox to see what restriction it is, if any restriction at all? Same with the VL? I have stock airbox in mine (with turbo, headstuds etc) but milled out to 4" with standard filter and I've always wondered if it is a restriction. Would make good content. Science man, science!
Lol...its a series 3 r31..if it had a trans cooler and shiftkit would of been fine..same gearbox as r33 turbo auto..better than a vl box ..llet them slur and they die.. As for r31 versus vl.. 💯 agree ..r31 are built way ..way better,vl are a tincan in comparison I have both
First version of this gearbox was in the r31, they suck and eat themselves eventually, regardless of power. r33 and r34 is revision 2 and are a better design.
@@nismofreak33 I've had plenty of them live over 250rwkw with just mv shiftkits and 380rwkw with a added billet 2nd gear hub Yeh the 1b 34 box is better or the 3a from 300zx Or you can build 1b 1a hybrids..
How is it even possible to get such a pitiful amount of power from a 3 Lt 6 cyl engine in stock form ? Will the non turbo stock engine handle all that turbo boost ?
