What a lovely motor. My dad had the diesel turbo some years ago. It was very smooth, quiet and pretty quick compared to its counterparts

Love the old Volvos of 1980/90s, they bring up great memories of growing up as child, I remember wanting these cars at the time. Stunning example of the 460 you got there. I believe these cars were built in the Netherlands along with the more sporty 480 loved the pop-up headlights. But my dream Volvos always been the 700/900 series cars.
Great video on that 760 turbo btw - what a car!! It ticks all the boxes for me, I am tempted to buy that car myself, but there is one niggle is that I am unsure about the overdrive 5th gear, I would prefer a more conventional 5 speed manual, but that's just me, that aside what a lovely car that 760 is, I wouldn't blame you if wanted buy that car yourself 😉

nice looking car-from the side angle it looks like a small 850.

They did that intentionally for the face-lift models. The originals didn't look like 850s.

They sit well. Preffered the 460 to the 340/350

I had a 1994 base model 1.6. Great car, very comfy and economical, 50+ mpg on a run. Did 100k miles in it. The only problem i had was it ate daylight running bulbs! The was a big orange bulb failure light in the middle of the dash which was permanently on. Volvo tech's never got to the bottom of it so used to buy bulbs by the dozen.

Really lovely car I would have bought it but for two things not automatic and prefer 16 valves that won't hang around for sure

the 340 was its predecessor of the 400 range so not so much high tech.....ive has 2 x 340,s,1 x 480,2 x 850 estates,3 x v70 and currently a v40...my favourite of all ive owned was the 480 until electrical gremlins started.
