I bought two '23 packs from my LCS and pulled a Michael Harris Auto.

People would absolutely love this set if topps didn't overprice it imo.
Yeah youre definitly wrong. The set isn't overpriced at all. If you look at autos compared to say the base chrome, you get 1 auto per $150 hobby box, or 3 per $350 jumbo. Taking a quick glance at the checklist there's about 10 really good autos (same 10 in cosmic) for the 129 card checklist. So 1 in 13 autos are really good, so every $1517-$1950 there's a rookie worth something good. Cosmic chrome has 1 auto per 3 boxes (35% chance according to odds) so every $750 is an auto. The checklist is half those same good rookies, and half vets who are notable, and definitly worth more than a no name guy in chrome who plays in the minors. $1500 per really good rookie auto with another solid auto, or $1517 for a really good auto(doesn't look as nice either) and a bunch of no name guys who play in the minors. I'd go with Cosmic any day because it's a better value 100% for what you get!

Very interesting what Topps is doing in 2023. Eliminating discount autographs (gallery, gypsy queen, gold label, and less in Chrome) and increasing print run on an expensive product like this with no guarantee autos. Makes great business sense, I'm not sure I could pull the trigger on products like this with no guaranteed hits. Could be great for the value of autographs going forward if they're tougher to get across the hobby.
So pumped about this product!!! I'm going to try my hardest to keep some sealed boxes...but I don't trust myself
It’s so hard.. I got a sealed case of 2022 update jumbo case and 2 hangers cases.. opened all of them a week after.. 😅

These cards are the best looking cards I’ve ever seen Stryker.. hands down.. I have never spread 400$ on a box of cards but I would for those..OMG.. your the most knowledgeable, and awesome person. Stryker for president..

Glad to get 2 at topps 275 price. Wouldn't spend 350+ secondarily though due to no guaranteed auto. But the lower odds of an auto make the chase for it far rarer, driving the cost up....

2022 Cosmic was easily my favorite product last year. Built out the whole base set and the LIO insert set. Don't like how they increased the print run so much and jacked up the price. Cards are gorgeous. I'm sure I'll dabble on a box or 2 but $350/box is rough for no guaranteed auto

I love these product reviews because its 100% legitimate. Topps from what ive seen hasnt been sending stryker juiced up boxes, so we get an actual see of what normal boxes look like

I messed up with this. I was going to preorder one, then decided to preorder two, only to have them all sell out before I could switch the quantity. So disappointed because I knew that the price was going to balloon before it hit shelves.
The edgings on some of those cards look like it’s gonna be real tough to gem them up.

Topps oughta do a Panini Chronicles type release w/Topps & Bowman releases and have exclusive parallels, different photos etc.
That Gold Interstellar looked fabulous with Bo and Vlad. Too bad they didn’t add in Yordan Alvarez to that card also - kind of a 2020 Topps reunion photo. :))

@@user-xf2tl8ee3c that's true, but I don't think buying singles is a good idea for my personality type. Besides that, I find the joy in this hobby from opening the packs, one at a time, and seeing what I got.
I like that they make a variety of sets so that there is something for everyone. I do like to see them opened, but its just not my thing. It would be boring if there was only flagship though.

Beautiful release. That Van Gogh Starry Night Mookie looked amazing. Curious, do you wish the player poses matched the flagship chrome release, (but with the new cosmic design), or do you like seeing the new poses also? Kids would love this in a retail format.

Even at retail price that's a big L. Obviously potential if you hit the right names. Absolutely love the set but I'll be avoiding it because the price is way too high for what you get
