Nice city tour guys! I heard of Poznań from some friends who travelled there for work but never heard of it for tourism purposes, so this video should definitely blow up at some point! What you do is literally encouraging everyone to travel not to the usual spots but to some off the beaten track! Well done guys, keep pumping videos, keep travelling, you're fantastic and good things happen to good people! 🙏
I super love potato pancakes with sour cream and applesauce. I learned to eat it that way at Canters, the Jewish deli in West Los Angeles .... oh! I wasn't expecting a shout out! It was so funny, I was typing this comment and then I heard my name! Lol Hopefully you can find a place that serves it with applesauce as well as sour cream one of these days ...
We will have to try Applesauce and sour cream with the potato pancakes next time! You seemed to always be a fan of the potato pancakes so we had to give you a shout out. 💖💖

Hey Both, this is really great. Because of your videos, we are seriously looking at visiting Poland in the not too distant future. Even with the construction work going on, Poznan looks lovely. Loving the goats on the clock. Mulled beer? Ok, you got us there...never tried it but you might have just sold it to us....now we need to go to Poland!!! Those potato pancakes look pretty damn good too. Goat patches, excellent haha. Santa Goats - excellent!!! The Royal Castle looks well worth a visit, that's a stunning view from the top. Good attempt at that word....I'm not even going to try and write it!! Loving that we're still getting a Christmas hit from this video. Loved this, and you're right, we would NOT skip this place!!! Cheers guys x
We highly recommend Poland! Didn't know mulled beer was a thing until we arrived here. Potato pancakes are one of our favs. Even the goats get into the Christmas spirit when they dress up as Santa. Thanks guys! 🍻
It took me a hot minute to catch up on your videos and I ESPECIALLY like this one!! I have to tell you, your Poland videos have inspired me to start planning a visit--I mean, 1/2 of my children's ancestry is from there. Love you guys and love these videos. muah!
8:20 you are looking so beautiful Katy! I don't know if it was a good hair day, or great lighting, or flattering scarf, or all of the above... but you are looking particularly stunning!❤
You've done the city I was raised in, and now you've done the city I currently live in. Shame I couldn't find you guys, but oh well :P As far as I understand, the legend behind the goats starts with the fire of 1536. After the town hall has been restored, there was a feast to be held in celebration. The main course was supposed to be a leg of venison, but the young kitchen aide was distracted by the outside festivities that he completely burnt it. So the young aid went out and found two wild goats and attempted to herd them into the kitchen. However, he lost control of them, and the goats ran up the stair, into the town hall balcony and started playing around, butting heads, all that jazz. The people celebrating downstairs were so amused that henceforth it became a symbol. The goats were spared and in the end, the main course was potatoes.
Hey there! It's impossible to cover everything, but that is so cool that we visited 2 cities that are near and dear to you. Thanks for the history on the goats. That's pretty funny! We appreciate all of the support with the comment. ❤️ 🇵🇱
We are going to be there this summer for the first time, as it is my "ancestral city." (Almost. We were actually from small towns and villages to the north.) I am so excited, but I am also feeling a bit worried about the constuction. How is it now, and how do you expect it will be by the end of July?
Really cool seeing around the city. Some great food there as well. Once the refurb is finished I hope it will look awesome. Great vlog guys. Be well. 👍🏻🚶🏻♂️🚶♀️
Chilling start seeing the ice floating down the river - a true winter's day! Ah you can't beat a clock show!! Last time I had a pint of warm beer I was laid up in bed for a week, bad times. To be fair that muled beer looks much nicer - I mean it's isn't emitting a tinge of green for a start! View from the castle was incredible, the coloured houses so vibrant from up there. I always share Katy's excitement when I realise there's an outdoor viewing area - it's always so much better than looking through glass - especially when taking photos! The name of that cake was a mouth full! Great video, love the title - you had me fooled!!
Loved seeing the ice on the water. Don't think we have ever seen that before. Definitely can't beat a clock show. Sorry to hear about your warm beer experience. So happy we found the view without the glass. Thanks Matt!
Improvements even for the physically disabled. Great 😎👍🏻. Potato 🥔 🥔 pancakes 🥞 with sour cream? That's right up my alley. That next dish with lentils is delicious 😋 and apt for my veggie ways. What a cool 😎 mall! Keep going guys!
@@WITYTRAVELS when you are visiting Poznan you should taste "pyry z gzikiem" it is traditional dish in Poznan region that you most likely won't be able to try anywhere else.
That shopping mall where you have been won 2 times price for the best world shopping mall in the world. It's mix of trade centre and art. Btw Poznań offer much more than you show in this video. All the best !
Goat show? Potato paradise? Mold beer?? What is this place lol 😂 The mold beer looks way better than it sounds lol. The potato pancake and sour cream look great!! Glad you found your patch! The view from the top of the castle was beautiful 🤩 Good on you for verifying your are pronouncing things correctly! Because people will let you know when you mispronounce something in the comments 😂😂😂 we learned that the hard way! Lolol
We love potatoes and there are tons of options and dishes that include potatoes here in Poland! We try to pronounce Polish words the best we can, but it's not always easy!
Poznań is my favorite of all the cities I've visited in Poland. That includes Warszawa, Kraków, Gdańsk, Wrocław, Lublin, Rzeszów, and Tarnów. Toruń is scheduled for Sunday. Actually visited Poznań again today! Gorgeous day out. Cytadella Park is one of my favorite places to spend time. While it's unfortunate the main square and surrounding areas are currently a mess, it's also exciting as you can get a sense for how beautiful it will be when finished. But Poznań just makes me happy. 😊

I'm always disappointed when I go visit a castle or somewhere that has scaffolding up blocking my view... but the reality is that places need to be maintained and it is just unnecessary inconvenience for us travel vloggers 😬

So glad to hear that the pastry did not have pigeon filling! Lol
But it's great you got it warm. Warm pastries are divine! 😋
We like our pastries pigeon-free! Lol. It was in the window and I didn't see it on a burner so I was surprised it was still so warm.

Not far from Poznań is the first capital of Poland - Gniezno. It is now a small town.

Potato pancakes can be eaten with a fork and hands, just like chicken (chicken is even recommended to be eaten with your hands) :)
