THAT'S AMAZING!!! As far as a lessons learned video, that's honestly a great idea! Off the top of my head, one thing that we've learned is when traveling via plane, it's pretty vital that we check out the plane ahead of time on SeatGuru. If you're unfamiliar with SeatGuru, it's basically a way to see what your seat on the plane will be like. When we flew from I believe Barcelona to Malta, we booked a window seat for the GoPro footage but that ended up being the one seat without a window. So ALWAYS check SeatGuru first😂 We've also learned that if you have any doubt before leaving on whether you'll need an item while you're gone, then odds are you probably won't need it. I know we've gotten rid of so much since our What We Packed video & it's felt AMAZING! Less really can mean more sometimes. We'll definitely try and find some more examples though & make a vlog soon to address more of these!!
Monastery is the place of miracles. One of the bigest religious places of Serbs. The "monk" U talk abouth is Saint Vasilije Ostroški. The caves where the monastery was built are actually the caves where the Saint himself hid and lived. Ostrog Monastery is a place of healing for people of different faiths. Not only Serbs but all nations of the world come to the monastery. There is a legend associated with Saint Vasilij Ostroski, that he is the only walking Saint whose socks are changed by the monks every morning. For this reason, most people try to sleep in the monastery. Never in my life have I heard that anyone has ever experienced an injury or an accident near the monastery, and you saw the appearance of the road when you went up. That land is simply holy.
I’m in Budva right now and going to Ostrog on Thursday. Can’t wait. I’m Orthodox and love visiting monasteries. I live 20 mins from a very famous one in the US.
Man I love that!!! This video is older for our channel & honestly, we want to come back so bad just so we can do a better video on this monastery. The drive from Podgorica to Ostrog Monastery is so interesting, but that ride up the side of the mountain is another level. Hope you had an amazing visit & thank you so much for taking the time to watch our video!!!
@@ProbablyLost it was great and Amazing venerating St Basil. I don’t know how they built that. I’m used to the roads though, my wife is Serbian. Definitely will be coming back, but need to when it’s less busy. A lot of people there. When did you go? I missed it.

We truly mean it when we say we adore Montenegro. It's near the top of our list of favorite countries we've been to. The people are so incredibly kind & hospitable, & the beauty of the country speaks for itself! Thank you so much for your kind words & for taking the time to watch our video!:)
You're so cool! 😊 The Ostrog monastery is the place where I got recovered of my illness... If you ever again come here, I'm from Serbia, but my home town is in Bosnia and Herzegovina, you're so welcome in my home!!! 🎉 I'd be my pleasure to be your host. Kristina
Awww thank you so much Kristina!!! We'll definitely be down in that area at some point again & will make sure to reach out:) Those countries are seriously so cool & have SUCH rich history/culture. We plan to get back there & spend A LOT more time visiting. Thank you so much again for the kind words & for watching our video! It means the absolute world to us!!!❤️
It nice to see your respect for our holy monastir. Yes Ostrog is in crna gora but it is of all srbijan people. Just asking you dud you notice the height of our people. My wife say we are too tall. You seem like nice couple. збогом и Бог с тобом
So we didn't notice anything different as far as height goes, but I will say we saw one gentleman who we believe was a monk at the monastery & he was EXTREMELY tall. Thank you very much for the kind words & for watching our vlog!!!!
My partner and I are getting lost starting in May. Now that you’re a few months in, do you have enough advice for a lessons learned episode? :)
