Dude. I literally just experienced that. I clicked on the video, looked away. And not 3 seconds later I was already smiling, with foggy eyes. Holy shit, this game isn't just a game. It's an experience. I just beat FF VIII yesterday and 100% it achievements wise today and I absolutely loved it. But I don't think it will ever hit as hard as IX does. I doubt any other FF will.
Ff9 is my favorite game of all time. I just started watching your streams about 2 weeks ago and they're a blast. I'm glad I get to catch these 9 highlights.

I remember hearing about FF9 the summer after I played FF8 in 1999. It was such a cool time for Squaresoft games because FF games were coming out nearly every year, and when you go to video game stores, there would be these Famitsu spreads on the glass walls showing some of the character and story designs of the next game. It really hyped you up for the next game and brought in so much wonder about the next world and story you'd get to explore. Then FF9 came out and it just blew all the expectations away. It was the perfect swan song for the PS1, a perfect mix of humor, adventure and action, and really pushed the PS1 graphics to the limit. It's so awesome to see streamers like yourself discovering these games. It brings me back to those days, and just for a moment, I get to relive how I felt playing FF9 for the first time. Go Vivi!
I did this "go back a few years" with FF games in 2000 post playing 7 through 9 via emulation (as a Mega Drive and Playstation kid from the UK at 15 years old at the time). Going back because of the legacy series you got into is so endearing. Nice to see someone CARE about games and experiences rather than "what my mates are playing".
This is my first Final Fantasy IX game back when it first came out on PS1. It's what introduced me to the series! I've been hook to every Final Fantasy game ever since. I'm glad that you liked this game. The music by Nobuo Uematsu is definitely what makes this game very memorable.
I had to pause to leave this comment. This is legit one of my favourite stream videos I’ve ever seen. You can feel you falling in love with this frickin perfect game and your voice acting is CRAZY good. Just gonna watch all your FF content now brb

Yesterday I've got your Final Fantasy X recommendation and today this video. Thanks for your contribution to Final Fantasy, series are great. Hope you like them all.
Holy shit I saw the FFX video today and thought "hmm this lady is funny I'll subscribe so I can see if she decides to play FFIX, my favourite one, at some point"
Just playing through all of them AGAIN through the steam port and re-release in HD, and having an absolute BLAST. Feeling totally into my early young gaming ages again 9 is a piece of ART, followed by 7 and 10 in this exact order. I love to see that people are discovering (and loving) them even today ( final fantasy 9 last month just hitted his 21th birthday )
Always brings a smile to my face to see someone get to experience quite possibly my favourite RPG of all time, for the first time. To this day I can't hear Emiko Shiratori sing Melodies of Life without tearing up a little. I see that your whole playthrough is up on Twitch, thanks for that! There's probably no way I'll manage to watch it all, but after seeing this I'll definitely go back to watch some.
that game makes me gamer. I used to have only disc 1 and 2 back in time, but i came back to finish it on PC emulator 10 years later, love this game, whole universe is in it
Blessed algorithm knew exactly what I wanted. Always love watching people's first playthrough of this masterpiece. Great video! Poor name choice XD Looking forward to part 2!
I've played many games (of course not as much as a streamer but still many games) but in terms of story, FFIX is still my favourite game. I'm currently playing it for the 5th time and it still feels good to the heart. I really want to experience this game for the first time again. At the time of my first playthrough I was very young so I was not able to understand some aspects of the game, I didn't even know who was saying all those words at the climax of the game but in my second playthrough I realized that it was a letter from Vivi to Zidane and that he died before the climax scene of the game. This game was a really good experience, I hope Square will make a remake of this game like they made of FFVII.
The naming of Garnet reminds me of when i played this game. Named Vivi "Master P". Realized shortly after that it was a mistake. Steiner kept calling him Master Master P. Had to start a new file after that. Fun fact if you ever managed to do the side quest, the game actually tells you what Garnets real name is. But only at a very precise time in the game. Also fun fact, the music that plays during one of the ATE scenes (I believe) at the crashed airship is the same as the Rufus coronation music from ff7.
