    Hey yall great video. Did you feel the need to have to put an anchor with ratchet strap, or any other sort of stabilizing mechanism, to sturdy the blind in case of high winds or if your on uneven ground?

    How is the blind holding up after a couple of years? We are looking at this and the greylight twilight blind for our farm. Thanks

    GREAT tower blind for the price ($799 at Scheels) I made the blind even better by 1- replacing the 50 window, door and enclosure zipper pulls with black T zipper pulls (for arthritis sufferers) sold on Amazon (much quieter). 2- cut foot long sections of pipe insulation and zip tied them to the crossmembers in the window openings to shoot off of (added a long one above the doorway after hitting my head). 3- hung a black plastic shower caddy inside to keep drinks, scent sprays, calls, binoculars handy. 4- screwed in a 3 foot earth anchor and attached a cable from each end to ensure wind doesn't tip the tower (comes with four 3 foot rebar stakes, but I wanted to be certain it stays up). 4- zip tied a couple hooks of of old ratchet scraps to the upper crossmembers to hang backpack, rangefinder, quiver. 5- transmission funnel and hose ran down to the ground for nature call. I'll probably add a truck bed mat cut to the floor size. I've hunted out of Muddy, Shadow Hunter and Redneck tower blinds and this Buck Hut does everything they do for 1/4 the price.

      Ok it’s 2023 now and this blind has sold like crazy. As now (fall) it’s out of stock near everywhere and still under 1000. Let’s hope it stays under a grand as I would love to buy another.

    How heavy was the stand and frame to stand-up? Could 2 guys do that?

    • @PetersensBOWHUNTING
      @PetersensBOWHUNTING  ปีที่แล้ว

      Two strong guys probably could. We did it with three, and it was no problem at all.

    Is there anyway to replace the windows with something clear that will zip to see though

    This video made me make my decision on this blind. It's a big no. So many zippers which is nothing but noise.

  • @dustingreen2418

    This has 3 tall windows on the long side. Looking online the one that comes elevated only has one window. Where can I fine the blind with 3?

    • @PetersensBOWHUNTING
      @PetersensBOWHUNTING  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      All the main windows can be configured as vertical windows for shooting bows. There are zippers that allow you to customize each window for your needs. You can make small openings, big openings, open only top, only bottom, top and bottom, etc. It's all very quick and easy.

      @@PetersensBOWHUNTING I just don’t see how. The one in this video looks like the gb100, the q200 looks different. Is this one in the video a gb100 on a platform?

    • @PetersensBOWHUNTING
      @PetersensBOWHUNTING  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@dustingreen2418 no, this is the Q200 Buck Hut. Not sure what you mean. Every window except for the door is the same. Long rectangle shape that can be customized.

      @@PetersensBOWHUNTING this is definitely a GB100 shell not the Q200. If you type in the q200 online and look at the side opposite of the ladder there is only one large window. Not 3 small windows. I would rather have the GB100 shell anyways because I like the window configuration but I'm wondering if it will fit on the q200 frame.

    I like the design of it, but noisy zippers that freeze up 👎🏼 come on it’s 2022 get rid of the noisiest zippers

    Got one this year. it took a while to find one they were sold out..... I'd say next year the price will be quite a bit higher. Great blind plenty of room.. I'm 6 4 it's nice to be able to stand up in a blind.. if you find one get it you will not regret it

    How loud was that fabric on windy days?

    • @PetersensBOWHUNTING
      @PetersensBOWHUNTING  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I was in there for an entire weekend last fall with my son during the youth season. Rainy and windy both days, and it kept us dry and comfortable. The fabric fits pretty tightly and has a bunch of elastic hook and loop closures that hold it to the frame so it can't move much. So, that keeps it nice and quiet. I honestly have zero complaints about this blind's features and performance for the price relative to hard-sided blinds.

    This is the 2021 model you have. Bass pro is selling this model , BUT BEWARE they have the 2020 model pictured. The difference is the front windows. The 2020 model has the 1 big window in front. You can't get the 2020 model anymore. But bass pro did give me a $ 100 gift card for the mistake.

      @@matthewwilliams2029 Thats awesome! The blind assembly took me forever....lol. I have not put the cover over the frame yet will wait til closer to deer season. I think they changed the windows because the 2020 model with the one larger window was not directly in front of the chair mounts. ( I have read reviews and people complained about that) I do like the blind so far. Seems well made. Good luck!!!

      I emptied both boxes yesterday in order to get them out to the remote spots. Goodness there are a lot of parts. I have two of these to set up by myself. I may never be seen again.

    And when you're putting this together make sure you watch where you're putting your gun rest pieces... it does make a difference how you put them in for your use of them... and go ahead and get the chairs they sell... they are very good

    Do you think the blinds can stay out all year long or would you take them off after the season

    • @PetersensBOWHUNTING
      @PetersensBOWHUNTING  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I would definitely take the fabric off the sides, roof and floor of the blind after the season and store them at home during the off-season. But the platform and blind frame is all powder-coated steel. There is no reason that will not be able to survive many, many seasons of being left out all year round. And, Millennium is going to be selling replacement kits for the fabric portions. So, even if you get like four or five seasons out of those, it's still an inexpensive option to just purchase a new wall or roof unit rather than spending $5,000 up front for a hard-sided blind.

  • @kevinmartin9530
    @kevinmartin9530 2 ปีที่แล้ว

    It'll take you closer to 5 to 6 hours to put it up

    • @PetersensBOWHUNTING
      @PetersensBOWHUNTING  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Just depends on who is doing it and how fast they are. Some people could surely do it in 3 hours and other people might spend all day.
