Would be nice to see how this works for a more cluttered background where the line between the subject and the background wasn’t as clean as in the video used in the example shown. Hasn’t been as successful for me in those instances, maybe you could do an updated video on that?
I always use chroma key and it will turn out smoother will one flat coloured background but using the pro features will make is smoother too I advise maybe using a splice before removing background to dull out the patchy parts
I like your video! It is very helpful! I got what i needed in the forst tool, but since you explained how to do it I watched the whole vodeo so you can have that watchtime! 😄
AWESOME ! If possible can you show a tutorial on how to so this with paid programs such as Adobe After Effects, Adobe Premiere Pro and Blackmagic Design Davinci Resolve please ? Keep up the great work!!
When I login to Adobe express, it doesn't reflect Background removal for Video as it is working only for photos . Has this been changed or I am doing something wrong.
Hi Justin - great video 👍👍👍 Would something like this be viable to make a thumb? It's easy to find a frame in the video to use as a thumb but to drop the background from me being in the frame is harder to do. So I was just wondering what you thought? 😎😎😎
Yes, absolutely! These tool shown will work for videos or stills, and I was surprised to hear how many people are making their thumbnail images in their video editing software.. so I think it’s all about finding the easiest way for you to make what you want to make 👍 hope you’re well man, merry Christmas
Great video! The auto removal feature on Capcut works for the most part however, sometimes it causes certain patches of the object itself to get removed.. Can you suggest any other accurate method for removing backgrounds in this case?
How do I remove the green fuzz that is around me when I've recorded on a greenscreen though? Also when I do auto remove of a background not recorded on a greenscreen it also leaves some elements in the background, e.g. like the outline of a black couch. How can this be edited? I use both Cap Cut and Canva.
Amazing video, thank you for the clarity. I haven't even started yet but would like to thank you, since it has given me to confidence to give it a shot!
Do you have some tips about how to do this if you have curly hair? Unfortunately, every slight move leads to a weird cutout situation where either half of the hair is missing or half of the background is still visible...
Cool to know. I do use a green/blue screen depending on whichever color is not in a wine's label. Since I'm at a table with other things on it, not sure how well this process will work. Plus since I'm already using a green/blue screen, this just adds more steps. Great for something in a pinch or if you're not able to use a green screen. Might come in handy at some point.
At first you said we would not need a green screen, but it looks like the 3rd option needs this. But it also looks like the 3rd option is a long way around a repeat of option 1. Anyhow, thanks.
Always so helpful but, when remove the background in capcut and add my brand background, I still see parts of the room ppop out at random times... like picture on the wall or pillows on couch.... what am i doing wrong?
Wow. This was some great tips. I've been struggling with my boring backgrounds and green screening. My editor has poor green screen function. The first one sounds just what I need. I'm going to check that out. Thanks 👍
@@PrimalVideo Hey, thanks. I chickened out yesterday signing up after I read the terms of service but I understand that is how it all goes. I need something for sure, so I'll try today. :)
Excellent tutorial. But I'm not sure why I would need to use a green screen as an intermediate step. Option 1 for background removal, which didn't use the green screen, seemed ok to me.
Cool, just giving options, some will want the higher quality achieved by using a green screen, especially if there’s lots of things in the background. Justin.
Canva only removes the background from still shots, not video. On Capcut, remove background also only applies to still shots, and "auto cut" just adds music.
Thanks for the video. Looks like it only works for human figures. Any tips on removing backgrounds from say, car videos? Example: keep the car but remove the people and other distractions from the background.
The Adobe Express method isn't working for me. I'm using a business account without limitations and once I upload my video, the 'remove background' button remains grayed out. Is there a limit to the video size/length for the background removal to work?
So background is removed to insert a green screen to then remove the green screen. New to this, I'm repeatedly bemused when background removal doesn't actually remove the background.
Hi, where is the media tab in CapCut? My nav doesn't look like yours at all. All mine show from left to right is: Import, audio, text, stickers, etc. Furthermore, I don't even see a search bar like yours is showing. Btw, I'm working with the free version if that makes a difference.
This looks nice for pretty static videos. If you dance having a computer or flowers or objects behind you, It will never do such a clean job. I tried on a video of mine and, OMG, the result was terrible.
Does anyone else find that CapCut's background remover changes the color grading of the video as well? This means it doesn't work too well if you want to overlay the video over the same source video and have motion graphics "behind" you. (why am I not paying for a good editing software yet? Who knows.)

So video should not be longer than 2 minutes?
