Beautiful Love - Jazz Guitar Chord Melody
Solo jazz guitar performance of the jazz standard "Beautiful Love". This performance is inspired by Bill Evans. I borrowed some of his voicings :)
I am using a 1959 Gibson ES-125T (thinline) and a Quilter 101 mini reverb head, pine cabinet that I built with 10" Eminence lil' buddy (Hemp coned speaker). The mic is the industry standard Royer r121 run into a Cloud Cl-1 Cloudlifter to boost the signal, Apogee Duet interface into a iMac using Logic proX. Video is shot with an Iphone X (4k) and synced in Logic. Then video is edited in iMovie (fades in and out), exported in 4x and uploaded to TH-cam.

"Beautiful Love is a popular song composed by Wayne King, Victor Young and Egbert Van Alstyne with lyrics by Haven Gillespie. It was introduced by the Wayne King Orchestra in 1931. The song has been called the "second favorite number" of King, after the Orchestra's theme song "The Waltz You Saved for Me"."
As a popular jazz standard, the song is included in the first volume of the Real Book as well as the New Real Book.[2][3]
It appears as a love theme both in the 1932 film The Mummy (when it is played during the ball sequence where Helen is telepathically called to the museum), and in the film Hotel Continental, also 1932. The song is included in the film Sing a Jingle (1944)[4] and it was also included in the 1989 film Crimes and Misdemeanors by Woody Allen.[5]
Joe Pass performed the song at the Brecon Jazz Festival in 1991 and stated in good jest that he couldn't remember if it was by Victor Herbert, Victor Young or Victor Mature."

Chris is the only guy in quarantine wearing a sport coat. I'm like day 5 in the same sweat pants trying to string 3 chords together. Maybe it's time to change my wardrobe. Thank you! I did keep the original P-90. The "T" is a thinline, so the body is only 1 3/4 " at the side of the rim.

Keith Pearson tone is all the way up on guitar. Reverb is between 2-3
