I laughed and jokingly asked if he was short of cash...and he told me that all his real watches were at home and he only wore them out to places where he was sure he was safe from the public...like private functions or high profile stuff with security. Otherwise he said he wore fakes because if the worst happened and he got mugged he lost nothing.
If more women start wearing watches, especially mechanical watches the market will go even more insane, especially for women’s watches. Currently the most incredible and interesting women’s watches are absolute bargains compared to the more masculine models. Some very savvy men have started wearing women’s watches for this reason, especially the larger ones. (Very difficult to have many complications in smaller watches though).
My favorite watch is my G Shock and my second favorite is my Radio Controlled Eco Drive and my 3rd favorite is my Rolex 16610 V serial that I have to leave in the safe and can’t enjoy wearing it except at home because of all the robberies going on
