"What do you think of it so far?" I remember watching this at the time. If you're British you will know that is a famous saying by a TV comedy duo called Morecombe and wise - the response is always "Rubbish!" :-)
TheWheels777: I agree. I loved how spectators were right at the edge of the Bobsled track back then. Hell, nowadays you can't even see the crowd on TV.
Totally agree with your crowd comments, but just yesterday, I was admiring the clarity and feel of the Olympics coverage from S. Korea. The technology is amazing, with camera on drones and all over every course. I felt like I was participating in the biathlon, except for the fact I wasn't cold and out of breath. I happen to like NBC's graphics, music and overall coverage, although they do get panned for picking and choosing the events based on perceived ratings, as well as their athlete bios that basically sound like propaganda. But the human interest stories tie the games together for most people...so can't really blame them. And this is the first NBC coverage in two decades without Bob Costas.
BloomingOnion: Can't argue with you there. Can you imagine today's TV coverage during classic Olympic moments? The 1980 "Miracle On Ice" comes to mind.
this is in sarajevo Bosnia and Hercegovina1984 Winter Olympics game unfortunately this bob track Serbian Chetniks were destroyed in the war 1992 too 1995 when the war is over
37 years later and John Morgan is still commentating :D

Good chance that he Stasi and KGB had a lot to do with the bobsleigh teams being in the same place.
