There was wisdom in the chores that a lot of people won't see right off. The purpose of the chores was testing dedication when things are uncomfortable; Letting them feel how real life feels when the grind of work starts taking time away from a couple; Can they survive when the demands of life responsibilities, work, and raising kids gets in the way of spending time together as a couple; Will increased demands create fighting or do they have the wisdom and maturity to work through problems. And really, both couples grew from the experience. I feel they all gained a lot of positive outcomes by working through the process. I attribute the successful outcomes to both couples. They are all good people, with good intentions, that truly care about each other. From what I saw I feel they are all on a good path and will grow into a larger family that truly loves each other.

I know what all that feels like, but I feel like they could have used a different approach to get to know him. Sure, they could have asked him to do the chores, but personally I believe it would have been best of her father to have stood out there with him and talked to him while he was doing them. It's a good way to bond with someone like that. It's just a personal opinion. Maybe all families are different, but they could have calmed down just a little bit.
