I think that picking up bad habits by playing with bad players has more to do with being rewarded instead of punished when you make a stupid decision because they don’t know how to deal with it. It is you being bad, but they’re being worse so it feels like you made a good call because of the result. Edit: I don’t think that excuse really applies at this level, once you’re mid-level you are entirely responsible for yourself and your habits
@@Mickeyshere It's like a simple AI, if it does something that accomplishes the task the wrong way in the opposite direction of the correct method, there is always the chance it will start to reinforce and iterate the definitively incorrect choice. 33:50 is absolutely true, One example is that at a lower elo positioning the way I would in master lobbies doesn't work because the enemy team will do some janky things to which my team won't respond. Essentially at FG fights I position as if my entire team already got wiped and I'm 1v5 whereas in higher elo I can position with my team in mind, let frontline initiate, expect peel etc. There are plenty of adjustments that need to be made. Players like you might not realise it because you're good enough to where if you're playing against 2500/2700 mmr players (like me) or 1800 mmr players there's not enough difference to force you to adjust your playstyle. The same way a pro boxer could fight an average person then someone who boxes as a hobby without having to adjust his fighting style because they are just that much better.
I think what the bad habits thing was meant to be was that you create bad habits and decision making not necessarily because of your teammates but because the people you play against because it's hard to learn limitations and what you can get away with the damage you take is massively different between someone that can hit you or not with an ability and going on people when their team lacks awareness and what should be a 1v3 is a 1v1 cause they don't pay attention it's not an excuse cause a good player will adapt to that quick but I think a lot of people struggle cause they develop habits against shitters that don't translate to someone with a few braincells
I used to think that way too. But the thing is, if you're making those bad decisions constantly from these habits, then you're not learning from your mistakes even though you've noticed those same mistakes from your teammates. People focus so much on other players and their mistakes. Which is super ironic because if they spent that focus on themselves instead, they'd realize they're making the same amount of mistakes if not more. Learning to be aware of everything going on is such an underated skill. Learning limitations is just straight time, trial, and error. Eventually you get a basic understanding of how strong gods can be at certain points while also learning damage curves of gods and items (Ex: "Oh I have a non stacked Trans and He bo has 2 fully built items and a level lead, I shouldn't push him. But wait, his ult is down and he's at half health. Let me try... Ah ok so he hit me with everything and I still won, good to know. I should remember that for next time")

i think it's really important that you continue to call out people for always blaming anyone and everyone but themselves for where they are in smite. that guy at the end was clearly exaggerating, but you got the receipts and humbled him. smite players need to be humbled because they reinforce years of shitty game play and call themselves temporarily embarrassed masters players
Never played smite, found this elo hell series randomly and have been enjoying it. Will say from playing other moba's, instead of blaming/raging on teammates, reflect on how to improve yourself so you can win regardless.
I have been struggling so hard since coming back to smite and idk why. As i said before, as a former pro gamer and master/grandmaster in pretty much every game i play, To climb fast, you have to be lucky or be A LOT higher skill than your current elo, if you are slightly better than your elo then it will most likely take A LOT of games to climb. Which is why mobas can feel very bad sometimes. One thing i will say on smite compared to league is that because of the camera angle on smite, players seem to have even worse map awareness, so it's even harder to rely on your team.
