Drum Dryer consist of rotary cylindrical drum with machined smooth surface. One end of the drum shaft is connected to a gear box, which is driven by a motor. The drum rotates at variable speed with the help of variable speed drive. Other end of the drum shaft is provided with suitable leak proof rotary joint for steam inlet line. A layer of product to be dried is picked by the outer surface of the
rotating drum. The product gets dried after water / solvent gets evaporated due to internal heating of the drum.The completion of drum rotation the dried product gets scrapped off form the drum surface in the form of flakes, granules or powder depending on nature of the dried product. The scrapper assembly have manual / pneumatic arrangement blade. The dried product is collected through chute or screw conveyor.
