Contentment is truly a blessed virtue to have and anyone can attain it, Muslim or Non-Muslim. For us Muslims, understanding what it means to have Islam as our deen is an important first step because then we submit to Allah and it is that true submission that leads to contentment of the heart. Once you get close to this, we should try and surround ourselves with those who remind us of Allah on a daily basis and keep our tongues and hearts occupied with the dhikr of Allah. This is what has helped me immensely, Alhamdulillah.

I watched this episode at the very right time when the heart was burdened by dunya. I could feel a dramatic relief by shifting my mindset and saying all praise to Allah. May people here can also feel the same. The cure belongs to Allah.

This is a beautiful reminder MashAllah.. keep up the good work please! I love how the sister ended with “I get to do so and so” .. I will try my best to remember & use this. Definitely a great way to humble yourself and slowly rid yourself of that feeling of entitlement. We are not entitled to anything SubhanAllah.. we can not increase or decrease Allah swt.. everything we have is a gift 🎁

Sometimes I think about how our Prophet (S) got to experience jannat & didn’t complaining about having to return to this dunya. It makes me marvel at his love for us, mercy + character, as I woulda complained 😂🙈
SAW, the release of a wife who is so unhappy with her situation to the extent that she spills out her complaints is an example of mercy and wisdom. Allah answers our prayers in ways we truly do not understand. To be in a situation that causes us to transgress or our faith to decrease is a fate worse than divorce. Allah’s mercy upon rectifying a marital mismatch makes me love and reverence him even more. Allah Is The Greatest!!!
Alhumdulillah i am so grateful.for listening to this n i make dua that i can change my perspective to that of "i get to do " shukran for this insightful episode

Our happiness is not reliant to our circumstances. Whatever you feel doesn’t change the circumstances. It’s the same situation, it just how you react to it. Are you being grateful or complaining?
Sheikh Omar I am married but I feel marriage is a punishment for not being patient enough I don't know what I feel for my husband but believe it I don't want to be ungrateful to Allah and I don't want to hurt the man Please help me
Pray and Inshā’Allah u will get through this by Allah’s mercy and fadl. May Allah make it easy for u .ameen may Allah put mercy in your husband's heart towards u and every one. Ameen

But what if life really is hard for someone? What if you're really sick and you can't keep a positive perspective even if you try? You said whining is bad but sometimes it's nearly impossible not to talk about the hardships we face. I gotta admit I'm kinda hurt by this. Not saying it's not the correct way, I wish I could see things this way but it's really really hard.
I read somewhere that complaining isn’t the antithesis to sabr. Complaining is normal as a human going through hardship. It becomes an issue when you’re unable to see past the negatives in the situation and that prevents you from bearing patience. Another way to look at it: complain to Allah, not about Allah. Easy to say but hard to do, especially for me. It’s been a year since your comment so I hope things are going better for you. May Allah grant you ease, Ameen.
If you see that your family is doing it then stop them , if you see your relatives or friends doing it tell them not to do. That's what you can do. Pray for all brother.May Allah guide us all muslim ummah toh the right path. ameen

Sir i have a doubt,
In my country India,
There a lot of people celebrating muhhammad nabi (s) birthday
Is it Islamic?
No it is not
The prophet never celebrated his birthday nor did the sahabas
This is an innovation
