Visual Diary | A Day of Crocheting & Embroidery | Starting Granny Square Blanket, Slow Stitching

Hello! Hope you're having a wonderful day so far! In this vlog, I spent the day crocheting some granny squares! This blanket will be a long term project where I will crochet a set of granny squares each week until it's done! I went to a local yarn shop and got some really nice yarn for this blanket. I also started and made progress on a new embroidery project using circle stencils. If you like to crochet, embroidery, crafting, and DIY at home, I hope you will like this video!

I’ve never seen that embroidery stitch before that you are using on the flowers! Love it! This video is so soothing and how I want to spend my days, although I spend my days crocheting, gardening and doing paper crafts, mostly junk journals. Very comfortable way to live.

Good evening Kiko, thank you for a lovely handcrafting video today. Very lovely to watch. I started an EPP project today. It is supposed to make a small quilt. However I plan to use the pieces to turn into cards, for slow mail gifts and for use in my journals. I always love to watch your crafty videos as you do many of the slow crafts that I enjoy.
I smiled at your plants. The first one showing the deep pink 'love heart' shaped flowers is one I have in my garden. It makes me smile every time I see it. So lovely to see one in your garden too. Your garden is lovely and I enjoyed your neighbours cat popping in too.
The banana bread looked so tastey and I could certainly shared and enjoyed it with you.
I loved the colour palette in your blanket. It is certainly something that will keep your knees warm. I look forward to seeing the two main projects from today in future visual diaries. My husband crochets and I have hinted that a lovely knee blanket would be great for me when at my crafting desk.

I love reading about your crafting projects! EPP is full of labor and love! I've been wanting to make a mini quilt cover for my sewing machine with hexagon patterns. It's been on my bucket list so hopefully I can get that going soon!
Oh yes those are Bleeding Hearts plants! I have them in white as well! I always find it fascinating how mother nature decides to make plants with heart shaped flowers! My neighbour's cat is really funny. Yesterday he came by and was super dirty. (He likes to roll around) I told him he was dirty and he went home shortly after and came back all clean. 😅 I think his owner gave him a good brush...haha

I like those colors for your crochet blanket. Wow. I haven't crocheted since the mid-90s. Lol. I started quilting then and forgot about it. Now I quilt and cross stitch. Lol. Maybe it's time for me to practice crochet again.

I am crocheting a granny square Afghan for my grandson using scraps. I use to do cross stitch but my eyes are not good so I started doing plastic canvas because I can use up small amounts of yarn. Love your podcasts
