You used to do my hair, when you were living it Dallas. I was like, “please don’t move to Houston.” Next thing I know, you moved to Houston. Houston takes all the good hairstylists😒

I, personally, don’t use any oils or serums during then straightening process. I do, however, apply the “TRESemme” heat protectant before blow drying. I haven’t tried the more expensive brands, but it definitely gets the job done. I wrap my hair immediately after flat ironing which lays everything down and gives it shine and polish. After that, I use a small amount of serum by “It’s a 10” every four or five days, but only on my ends.

I believe the hot comb is the best flat iron to use on any natural or relaxed hair.

I swear by silk essentials by design essentials when pressing my hair. And i also do an argon oil with that. Gets my hair silky straight everytime.

My hair is not what most would consider kinky, but I use a thermal hot comb when I press it. I’ll divide it into fairly large sections and hot comb the roots (and/or nape and edges depending where I am in the process). Then, I’ll flat iron that section in very small sub-sections. I always work from back to front. I find that pressing my kitchen, roots, and edges with a comb gives my hair a more polished, finished look. 💜

Beautiful ❤️. I love Silk Elements heat protectant, but not too much because it can be oily. And one more thing, baby, the way my carpal tunnel is set up and the way you hold your flat irons, my hands were cramped the whole time watching 😆
